I had a terrible relationship with my mother when I was a child and that set us apart forever. And it wasn't even real abuse (not compared with what I had seen over there), but it still was a very abusive relationship at a young age. I can't even remember my childhood because I had to repress everything to still have a relationship with my mother. My heart really stopped and my mouth got dry when she said that line.
