I’m so glad that I never listened to Living Legend because it’s one of my favorites from the album, I’m obsessed

That said, I wish I hadn’t overplayed Cherry Blossom because I would have been snatched if this was my first time listening to it.

Lana stated herself multiple times that she is an Alternative artist .. I wouldn’t even think to compare her with Taylor swift , Rihanna etc. (simply because I find her much better ) .
I even think she’s better than Adele - who has two solid albums as a songwriter.. but 25 is meh  .. and if I had to compare her song catalogue with Lana’s .. she blows her out of the water !

How about instead of arguing  we put this energy into creating a mashup with the trio and a doja song and making it go viral on tiktok

If Lana is able to get an hit with an album that has 0 promo and with her account deactivated I will piss my pants, like who is doing like her!? And she is even in track to get another #1 on the UK chart.
Manifesting Dealer [cedric gervais remix] ft Pitbull.

But the album isn't even underperforming like ?? There are thousands of artists out there that would kill to have Lana's numbers. Even labels would kill to have an artist like Lana that doesn't need much budget and still manages to maintain a loyal fanbase, critical acclaim and good sales 8 albums into her career (and don't forget how good her tours do too).
US first week sales were fucked because of the physicals but the full numbers will be good anyway.
Lana is set for life (just with BTD royalties) and she does this cause she loves the music. She could have the biggest flop of the universe, get dropped by her label and still continue to put out records every year so who cares

Haven’t even read the drama, but the facts are this:

    - The album has an 80 on Metacritic and is 1 point away from “Universal Acclaim” status.
    - Lana discussing the album on Live showed how much thought and care she put into it.
    - Her team/label botching the physicals fucked up the sales. That is a fact.
    - Lana deleting ALL of her socials a month before her album release helped nothing.
    - If her sales aren’t where you want them to be, ask yourself “Did I buy the album and support my fave?”, then go from there.

We’ve been spoiled with another classic.

everybody's entitled to their own opinions, but it would be foolish to say that somebody's not a true fan because they like the album, or try to say that it's a flop or a bad album because of how well it's doing in the charts/streaming, honestly this might be my least-favorite ldr album at the moment  however, i can easily recognize & see that so many people love & adore this album, so many people feel a special & emotional connection to the songs from this album, and the album isn't doing that bad regarding charts/streaming, it seems like dealer is going a little viral on tiktok!  i would never say somebody is a "fake fan" or anything like that because they love the album just because i have issues with it, we all have unique opinions & tastes, which is the beauty of this forum, some people really love her past work, some people are really digging her recent albums, some people really love it all, and even if you strongly prefer her first few albums, that doesn't mean you still can't enjoy them, even if you aren't a big fan of her recent work, as we all know, my favorite era is the "lizzy grant" era, and obviously that era is a long time ago and it's still very vague & mysterious, and obviously lana's musical style is very different than it was in 2007-2010, but i can still enjoy the music, the aesthetic, & the songwriting, it's okay to not like something, but please be mindful of others who do, saying somebody is a "fake fan" because they enjoy the album doesn't make any sense

Instead of asking for Born to Die 2.0, go stream Black Bathing Suit instead.
It's literally Born to Die + Paradise + Ultra + Honeymoon + Lust for Life + NFR + COTCC if you wanted her to make Born to Die 2.0, UV 2.0, HM 2.0 or what ever the fuck it is so badly.

    imma floor these f****s

lana after making lust for life as a gift for the fans and then seeing the fans consistently rank it as her worst album

I think a lot of people missed the memo that Lust for Life was a gift for the fans and just a transition to where she's going now, which is deeper into a more personal and contemplative nature of writing music

Also in 2091, all new generations will be discovering these albums and won't care in the slightest how many people clicked on it on a Tuesday in 2021

Yes yes yes yes. Cherry Blossom and Living Legend both play a significant role in interweaving the thematic and musical threads of this record

The year is 2091. Lana is already dead and the remaining fans will still cry about her not doing hip hop beats and Blue Jeans 2.0 from beyond the grave
