Coldplay hasn't made good music since 2005 so they won't be a problem
They are like U2. Great for the first few albums and then the lead singer became a complete tool and it was all downhill from there
Chris Martin's only redeeming quality post 2005 is that he talked Lily Allen down off the edge of a cliff once in Malibu
But I doubt Lana gives a fuck about number one anyway because here we are one month out and she has cruelly abandoned us like a cicada abandons its skin in the summertime

I think what really matters is not much an artist sells, but the quality of their work. Getting a #1 or selling millions of copies is cool, but what’s even cooler is doing it with a qualitative body of work, not something mediocre that’s meant to appeal to the masses

I already associate this album so autumn so heavily. I tend to assign each Lana album a season, and I think she picked the perfect date for BB's vibe. Here's what I think of for each album:
 
Winter - Ultraviolence, Lust For Life
Spring - Honeymoon, Chemtrails
Summer - Norman, Paradise, AKA 
Autumn - Born To Die, Blue Banisters 
 
(although honestly you really could put every album under summer lol)

Arcadia is now in the top 5 of her most popular songs on Spotify! Something that none of the three previous singles achieved.

i honestly really like the "blue banisters" album title, since it seems like it's very symbolic & meaningful, even if it doesn't seem like it if you haven't heard the title track, although i will say, i think "arcadia" would've been a fabulous album title as well

i’ve said this a million times and i’ll say it again…i do not understand how people dislike wfwf.

I strongly believe Lana has reached a point of career longevity and stability, where she knows who she is through her music and poetry and can afford to be “off the grid” and just put her projects out as she pleases. That’s actually the dream, if you think about it — to just do what you love and not get caught up in the fluff that seems inevitable when you’re a famous musician, and still generate lots of sales and warranted, genuine, and undivided interest in your work. She’s really a living legend. 

Lana has her coins and is set for life. She doesn't really need to have a career to keep money in her pockets, and I suppose this is a good reason to believe she could be trying a more niche genre that may not be as popular. I don't think it matters to her at this point in her life
