The verses yeah absolutely lol. It makes me not want to take the rest of the song seriously. And I don't even like poppy's voice much in the verses (maybe the only part of the album that makes me feel that way)

this album keeps growing on me. I love.

also I feel like a lot of people will use this as a way to shield from criticism… like ambient pop is still pop well sorta kinda and people are allowed to not like it without it being their fault because they don’t understand ambient

I might be alone here but I don't know why her fans are so mad about Lana comparisons.  They be blue in the face saying nobody should dare make mention of Lana when discussing Ethel. but why? lol.

I wish she'd just ignore the comparisons instead of commenting on them, it doesn't reflect well. If ur confident in ur craft it shouldn't be a problem
