May I just say how damned hard it is to rank these songs!
Each one of the following has been my favourite from the album in this first week of listening at some point:
Paris, Texas (instant)
Margaret (instant)
Fishtail (instant)
Sweet (instant)
Kintsugi (instant)
The Grants (instant)
Fingertips (major grower. It clicked today )
And the rest are all solid 8s and above barring Juda Smith.
Even Peppers has grown on me. I still think it doesn't fit the overall themes of this album but it's still a bop!
The album is a stunner to play through from start to finish. She really poured everything and more into this. Like the art of Kintsugi ! Creating a whole from something fractured and broken.
The reflections of life, love, family and the inevitably and tragedy of death.
The mountains, the sea, the sweet north country.
I just can't with her.
Never been so proud to be a lana stan.

fingertips has REALLY grown on me might be top 3 now. mental illness, worrying about future children, uncle dave, mommy issues, grappling with mortality, and she still got in under 6 minutes. it’s not a short song by any means but the speed and efficiency with which she was able to mass trauma dump on this track is so impressive

That’s because Antonoff could never play the piano as well as Batiste, so I understand their frustration.

Don't copy and paste, and don't harass metacritic. Remember that it's probably just one guy reading all the emails they get, and if he starts seeing the same email pop up all the time, he's just going to delete them and ignore them. Better to write a short message explaining the same thing in your own words.

They're literally just adding fuel to the fire by their comments. This is what I'm sending -- feel free to use it. I feel like shorter = better, usually.
"Hi there,
Reaching out because I have concerns regarding the merit of Sputnik Music when it comes to Lana Del Rey.
The same Staff reviewer has repeatedly volunteered to review Lana's albums even though he clearly does not like her, and has a pattern of reviewing her albums a week after release, giving them low scores (30, 50) to seemingly lower her Metacritic score.
One of the first replies to his review was another Contributor to the site, stating 'Brace yourselves, Twitter is coming'. Additionally, in the replies to the review, they mocked a fan on Twitter who shared a User Review (80), stating "Wait 'til they find out [User's] review doesn't count, but [Staff's] does." This frames their review as a joke, or a ploy for attention/engagement more than anything.
There seems to be obvious bias at play here, and it only felt right to point it out. Thanks for taking the time to read this and considering our concerns.

Don't feed the trolls - eternal life advice. They clearly want to rile up the Lana fans and they shouldn't be given the satisfaction

it's actually 2.5 on the scale of 5 tho, therefore, it's 50/100 on Metacritic.
Chemtrails was rated 1.5/5, therefore it's 30/100.

Yeah, all they want is attention, guys. Don't tweet about them.

LMAOOO
Not a fuckface copy-pasted my whole tweet about the Sputnik review down in the review's comment section just to spite the Lana stans.
The obsession with attention is as clear as day at this point

I haven't written mine yet but I'm all for sending an email if y'all want to.
This is basically a draft of what I was thinking - we can add/edit as needed:

We can go from there, though.

It's the same reviewer who tanked Chemtrails with a 30 when it was sitting at 85 on Metacritic.
They do this every time with her.
They need to be reported to Metacritic. This is completely intentional and it's bullshit.

I hope the album becomes #1 in the UK, that would be an important milestone.
