i'm so sorry to read about your puppy, i know exactly what you mean, my cat passed away not even a month ago, it always hurts when a pet leaves, she looks very happy she knows she is very much loved by you, she is beautiful

first off, i just want to say how sorry i am to be reading this. losing a pet is never fucking easy - i actually had to put my dog down in January after only 3 years so i fully understand the pain you are experiencing right now. there’s nothing i can say to help but just remember to be thankful for all the memories and as lana says best, “i’m taking mind of you with me”

    Gurl lemme remind u again:
    a. She deleted all her social medias during this era
    b.  No real promo for this era (the 3 singles literally popped up on her streaming platforms out of nowhere and SHE DIDNT EVEN POST ABOUT THEM, the fans do the promo themselves)
    c.  The album leaked 2 weeks prior & the shipping wasnt event COUNTED
    d. her dumb single choices (Imagine the playlisting + radioplay with an MV for Dealer lol?)
    e. This was  literally her SECOND album released in the same year
    f. she literally dropped the album , did a livestream & that was it. And only 2 months later, she attended Variety just to reveal "the next album will be even better than BB" lmaoo

despite all that, the album debuted in top 10 while Lana is not even a pop girl. It's not a flop honey.

Yes but she was also a streaming force during Blue Banisters and she debuted with 33k sales 😭 I know this era isn’t Blue Banisters, but there’s a disconnect between those who stream her old and new catalogue.

Anyways, still hopeful for a redeemable first week.

You should as long as you're thoughtful and not one of those cringeworthy reactors who scream and jump around instead of focusing on the music.

I love blue banisters, it's such a good window of seeing Lana being an open book

I have a feeling this will be THE comprehensive LDR record. It will contain all the essential LDR sounds and lyrics you ever need all in one album while still feeling like a cohesive body of work. An essential in her discography

This is such a precarious place for Candy Necklace to be.  At this point, I'm most eager to hear Taco Truck and Grandfather, but after that i'm curious about how this is going to work. From the start i've been intrigued by the idea of the Judah Interlude and how it could really set the stage/mood, but the two interludes so close together? Will it be the blackhole of the album or the perfect (and necessary) transition to shift the vibe and move us into next part of the story? It shouldn't work, but I think Candy Necklace will be "big" enough to pull this off.

There's also always new music in the indie sector, but a 7-minute song is not very popular in playlists either, so I think the decrease in streams is a normal process. The first days are almost the most important to get an audience and after that there are hardly any surprises.

I really struggle to stream singles as if I just can’t listen to 1 song on repeat.. when the album comes though, that’s when I will dedicate all my time to listening to this one album only

Don’t want to overplay the singles to the point I feel like skipping them once the album lands either!

She doesn't care about these things... so why would you?

Haven't fully caught up, I got warned for dragging Fauxmoi losers because some ppl on here are super sensitive, it appears.

One thing I think is interesting about these ~controversial~ lyrics is that people aren't really acknowledging the idea that Lana is egging people on intentionally. That's not to take away from the points she's making - I think she's genuinely, openly challenging a lot of the ammo being used against her. Some fans say she's riffing, or just quickly forming lyrics based off stream-of-consciousness, using a mic, etc. But as those who criticize those lines have said, there's a nuanced way of saying things she instead chooses to deliver roughly.

I think it's safe to say she knows what she's doing. If a certain group of people (not even the demographic who should be offended, ofc) are offended, I don't think Lana cares. In fact, I think she likes it by now. She's said before she doesn't care if she loses fans - she's all about artistic freedom. She has questionable lines on pretty much every album she's made. Jack's mentioned one thing a lot of people don't pick up on about Lana through her music is her sense of humor, which can seemingly be pretty dark at times. I truly think she's in on it all, and though she might want you to believe otherwise, she loves to push the boundaries. I think it's okay to acknowledge that. In fact, it's one of the things I love about her - she's so messy. It's just who she is. As @gothphetamine said, I believe art should be celebrated when it's disturbing and challenging, not punished or edited. Of course, "kill all [X]" should never get a pass, but that's not what Lana's doing.

Didn't mean to write so much, but just wanted to add my 2c.
