I wish it was legit for something coming but some options seem kinda wishful thinking...
Releasing the LMLYLAW demo? Noir? And there's no way she releases PMIAM unless it's with the whole AKA album
And why would they make us pick between SYTH and Queen Of Disaster when those are basically her most famous unreleased tracks (+ Serial Killer). I know it's 2 options but those two seem like the ones that HAVE to be there.
I also think Lana would be the one to choose what songs to release (with a couple of the fan favorites like SYTH)... unless those are all songs she loves and wouldn't mind putting them out
I'm dying for it to be real tho

The lyrics of Pin Up Galore are pretty chaotic as well when you think about it... HMMM a lot to unpack

damn, that's an opinion i've heard people say they hate his voice, it's fair, it's somewhat an acquired taste but i've never heard someone insult his songwriting lmaooo
hard disagree obviously but to each his own.. how many/which songs have you heard by him? if you're genuinely interested in giving him another shot (on the songwriting front) a few I wld rec off the top of my head: Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands, My Back Pages, Sara, Hurricane, Tangled Up In Blue, Simple Twist Of Fate, Positively 4th Street, Desolation Row

Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah will never be what Cohen's is, ppl need to stop acting like it is.
he's gotta pretty boy voice but Cohen's adds the much needed roughness & soul to the song.

i like John Lennon
&his song Imagine too. some celebrities repurposed it & made it cringe during COVID but on it's own, it's cute....if u don't like beautiful piano melodies & a call for unity of the human race then ok fuck u too
Phil Spector spilled with Don't Go Home With Your Hard-On's production
still hate the prick tho
Bob Dylan may not have a traditionally great voice, but he is a fantastic singer. fight me
Banisters & Chem are her two strongest albums to date
Morphine is a better 90s band than Nirvana

wilting daisy liked a post in a topic by legotrip in I've written a Lana Del Rey biography and am giving it away for free
Hello everyone! I am unsure of the rules with a post like this so admins please delete it if it's not allowed. I have written an extensive Lana Del Rey biography which compiles her history from birth until Ocean Blvd using hundreds of interviews. Of course, writing a book is only half the battle, and I am struggling to get eyes onto the publication. So, for this board only, I am offering the book 100% for free. I can send you the epub or the PDF. In return, I would only hope for an honest review on Amazon, but even that is not necessary. Let me know if you're interested and I will message you further details! Thanks -

Every time I start listening to a single track from this album I end up listening to the whole thing. Idk if it's a popular opinion or not on here but idc cause for me it has really become Lana's best work to date. I cannot put into words how much I adore this incredible record, it's literally perfect, zero skips, no comments, I'm just in awe of this piece of art

I've been listening to the album non-stop and I think I can finally put into words more or less how I feel about it. I'm very much in love with it, I feel like its the culmination of the themes from Chemtrails and Blue Banisters, giving way to a new page. After leaving the California imagery behind post-NFR to get to the Midwest in Chemtrails and Blue Banisters, she's again re-rooting herself into California, with ''Sweet'' kinda giving that book-end to the Midwest period in her life and bringing into the picture her home in the Northeast, in line with the overall theme of family and lineage, her roots. It's interesting to go on a retrospective of her discography and see how the persona falls apart by each album until we can see more of her being herself.
I'm very excited for the next record, I suppose she will continue exploring the family themes. Considering her romantic relationships also inspire heavily her music, I wonder if her relationship with Evan, who is also from New York, could bring the East Coast more to the forefront in her imagery. The songs about/with Mike are very much Cali beach, sunny weather and carefree, contrasting those that I assume could be about Jack (Candy Necklace, Kintsugi), which are darker tracks lyric and sound wise.
Anyway rant over, I needed to get these thoughts out of my head

in a way i get it like she was presenting as like their ideal girl and she thought they'd eat that up but i guess it went over her head how men can be very snobby about female musicians while the girls are the ones who would relate to it and we do love things we relate to

Pink floyd, fleetwod mac, jeff buckley, leonard cohen, Harry Nilsson - if you get it you get it. No one from our times gives me the same depth, freedom and nostalgia that Lana has

honestly if you are looking for someone similar to 2012-2015 lana, i find anyone who is "similar" just sounds like a shitty copy, but lots of artists are similar to her 2019-2023 sound,
taylor swift (folklore and evermore albums, also some songs off midnights), suki waterhouse, weyes blood, fiona apple, joni mitchell, bleachers (jack antonoff's band), elliot smith, mazzy star

I think there's no artist who is 100% like Lana, also because she changed her style in time, and it's also a question which album you like most, but this ones I would recommend: Angel Olsen, Jesse Jo Stark, Mazzy Star, Mitski, Taylor Swift, Fiona Apple, Suki Waterhouse and Marina

I think her vocals are pretty, especially when she says “lost little girl”. People act like she is screeching on this track lmao
