I agree charts aren’t that important. I just wish Lana would put more effort into her album rollouts. Seeing Miley’s album trailer reminded me of the visuals that Lana used to put out, and I kind of miss that. Maybe she is holding off on doing more promo until closer to the release date though.

People still care about charts? 

As long as the albums are good I couldn't care less about the charts but I still want Lana to be successful and get that top spot 
 
At the end of the day longevity is more important than peaks tho... BTD never hit number 1 on the US and it's still charting 10 years later 

She'll get either #1 or #2 and neither are bad let's be fucking for real 

I think Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd will have good streaming numbers on par with NFR and even in the long-term, the single has been doing much better numbers than Dealer and Watercolor Eyes with 300k+ streams a day almost a month after it's release, and it's RISING again, having in mind it is a very long song and many on the album will be too, this is a strong indicator it will do well as a whole.
Plus it's her longest album ever and has 16 tracks which will result in more streams. 
Also her hype now is bigger than ever, she's getting 14 million+ streams a day (3rd most streamed female artist)
And if we rely on the insiders it's a QUALITY album and it won't surely go unnoticed with the critics and general public too.
The instrumentals will be richer on the album the lyrics also, as we saw on Ocean Blvd, the album really has everything in order to great in the long-term and I really hope it does!
And not to forget her managing team lost Dua Lipa and they will be focusing more on Lana and her promotion which we'll surely get with her second single and tracklist reveal, since her record label has changed and they are aware of her streaming power and charting (BTD on BB200) for sure.
 

Y’all are underestimating the absolute chokehold she has on tiktok. Soooo many videos are going to be up about Lana’s album release, Miley’s only real chance is if her record has a lot of viral hits

I honestly feel like if there is going to be bigger promo for this album it’ll happen soonish with the release of the next single. I don’t really expect lana to do any big promo but her label definitely is aware of how well she’s doing in the streaming charts right now (especially BTD which is #65 on the billboard 200 right now) and will want to capitalize on it.

Miley is popular and the album and singles are going to make her buzz. But it's wrong to put it as if it were going to overlap Lana's album, as I've seen comments. Lana will have her audience, especially since I know we're going to have controversial lyrics.

I just really want her to give us something dark, a bit more upbeat, psychedelic, inspired and fieryyyyyyyy before she really gives up on making sad bops. Like girl is not getting any younger, eventually we’re going to only be getting piano ballads and country songs…. Please god please

not saying every single song on the album will be a piano song but considering every song we know about so far is (Title track, Candy Necklace, Fingertips, SYML interpolation song, RIOPY song; nearly half of the album already when you don’t count the interludes) i have a feeling a lot of fans are gonna be disappointed regardless if their expectation is the opposite of that lol, I kinda think American Whore is gonna channel Black Bathing Suit. piano songs don’t have to be boring

i think that the reason why it doesn't look like she's super rich is because she lives very modestly and is very humble about her success but BTD alone has pretty much set her for life lol

Trust that Lana is and has been stupidly rich for a long time now. And good for her!

Sometimes I feel like Lana really doesn't want to get popular or something like that... like, BTD is so successful and she won't even acknowledge it. She just wants to do her own thing the way she wants to and, honestly, good for her  I don't think she wants to get stupidly rich either

she usually waits 2+ months between album announcements and releases (not counting surprise drops). and she’s friends with both jack and lana so i think she’d at least wait till the 17th to release so it doesn’t overshadow their work 

will ajayll come back for lana on march 10? i think so
