The best album of all time. Dan Auerbach's impact, she was on top of her game despite all the hate. An album for the history books--she cemented herself as a versatile legend. There's just something so raw, vulnerable yet grand about this album. Her mind for that.

I remember when it first leaked the very first track I listened to was Black Beauty  it was literally my last day of school as a high school freshman, this album touched me so much. I hated high school lol but looking back at the time when this album came out makes me really nostalgic for those simpler times 

Us when we are presented with actual information and not just watching pretty girl with big hair singing sad song 

I liked METAPHYSICS my only friends were in BOOKS I majored in PHILOSOPHY ... ok nerd...
 

I found this speech to be very thoughtful of Lana. I understood it as Lana saying that she is very grateful for how things have worked out in her favor, but that maintaining the passion is becoming difficult. She gives examples of how keeping a firm mindset in her younger years has helped her stick to her “plan A” but, naturally, with her being in this career path for so long the passion/excitement for it has started to burn less fiercely. She feels this need to revitalize that flame. Perhaps that’s why she wants to go “meet with the people.” She’s said this a few times at other recent events about how she wants to explore places like Louisiana, Alabama, Kentucky, etc.. places with slower & simpler ways of living. Perhaps she sees that as a way to get back to those early days.

Such a beautiful speech. I really appreciate how she doesn’t have a prepared script to read off of, it’s very genuine, and I love getting the feeling that we’re tapping into where her thoughts are at in the moment 

I feel like this is such an accurate summary that it could be on her tombstone!? But I say that with so much love  

Don't forget the mandatory mention of her love for the American deep south the swamps of Alabama or whatever

Let’s be so real, she’s gonna give us another “glass ship that can also fly” speech and “jeez what can I say” 2.0 if she’s even asked about the music, but American journalists don’t even ask her about herself so she’ll probably end up being asked what her favorite Taylor Swift era is 

Would be a perfect time to acknowledge Ultraviolence especially since the thumbnail for the livestream has the Ultraviolence cover

I hope that the local journalists ask about Lasso updates and not about what's her favorite Taylor Swift song

if that, she'll probably just say thank you shes honoured and shes excited about the new music thats coming SOON 

we will actually just be getting a 5 minute speech about how the critics suck and her karmic lineage and how ben and ed saved her from her previous record deal unfortunately

Also LOVE the photo of her in the diner booth, the aesthetic is REAL, the way her jacket matches the seats? The reflections? Everything about it? Like I said, LOVE.
