Watching this while watching two toddler boys was hard but I managed and it was amazing. I don’t mind the behind the scenes vibe, I trust Lana’s vision I just need to watch again without little human distractions to see what messages I get from it. right, like i would’ve liked if it was a build up and then suddenly like midway through the song we start seeing the bts shots, and the camera pan away to reveal her actually being filmed by rich, then a bunch of bts shots, i feel like it would’ve added to the story but

Not only does this work so beautifully with the process-is-product aesthetic on Ocean Blvd, but is honestly such a definitive LDR statement. Like, the fact that there's already discussions about the BTS shots being inauthentic just speaks to how well she executed this concept of "blurring the lines between real and the fake" (to quote a certain BtD classic). You never know what's a persona and what's genuine LDR (whatever that is!). And the audacity of ending the video with her posing with her (as yet) nonexistent Hollywood star? It doesn't get any more classic Lana. In awe

I think it would’ve been more impactful if those behind the scenes episodes came later in the video like after the second chorus or something. Cuz now the story isn’t fully developed  and bts shots took most of the time

It wouldn’t be a Lana release if half of her fans weren’t complaining about not getting what they wanted

She looks stunning, and the shots are beautiful! Maybe when I have more time to watch it, in its entirety (I'm at work so I only made it to minute 4) I'll understand the concept more. For right now I'm just a little confused hmm

Ok someone provide me with a thought-provoking analysis about the deeper meaning of the video because I’m dumb 

I found this video to be so captivating. The incorporation of the behind the scenes footage mixed with the official footage makes it feel like you’re watching the lives of these old Hollywood stars. That part with Lana talking about acting like a robot while dressed as Marilyn was really powerful as well. And of course she looked absolutely stunning. My favorite look has to be the one at the end with her Walk of Fame star. I can’t say this is what I was expecting this video to be, but I’m pleasantly surprised

I swear she's referencing her BTD look with that long blonde hair and the cloak and white dress...plus the bloody car...all so interesting 

okay i feel like i sounded ungrateful before 
i get the behind the scenes thing is like part of the entire concept and it adds to the story! i just would’ve liked a version that was just pro-shot, and then maybe have a directors cut that was the 10 min version
 
or maybe because of the concept…  the directors cut WOULD be the shorter version… hmmm
