i think she's referring to the critiques of being "mysterious" and "secretive".. and that her family secretly has money and doesn't let it on.. i think she felt like wildflower wildfire also "responded" to the critiques with the "here's the deal cause i know u wanna talk about it" lines but it obviously went over the general publics heads bc lana always thinks she's clearer than she is.. ppl who don't know how she talks or writes wont always get everything initially and she doesn't always expect that 😭

Lowkey would hate that if that’s true I think it’s going to be less obvious than that, I think it’s going to be more like the HTD sample in Wild at Heart. 

Also, was it ever confirmed it was an NFR sample? It doesn’t sound like it’s a sample to me, it just sounds similar.

Actually genuinely excited for this era. I haven’t felt this way since NFR. Even if the music is meh, it’s fun to see her out and about.

I really hope the vinyls/cd's will include lyrics of the singles like with some of her other records...
 
the lyrics for a&w are completely different everywhere I look  

if she re-released it maybe she could re-do the songs with the artistic control she has now

idk i just worry that the general public & critics won't get it  i feel very protective of my favorite album  

something that makes me really happy is that i can tell lana loves this album. dancing to her own song, tiktok active, and wearing her merch multiple times. idk. something about this era feels different and fresh and it's super nice to see her enjoying it!

i just think it’s interesting that people call lana’s more recent writing topics “not relatable” and therefore trash the songs because of it, because personally i don’t relate to songs about snorting coke off the bathroom counter with my 50 year old sugar daddy at the chateau marmont, but i still love born to die

I don't think you meant anything negative by this post, however, I really don't think the argument that she never sang about her family like this until Chemtrails is necessarily valid, and personally, I don't really think that the point makes sense. I have no issue with people not loving familial lyrics. That's totally fine because everyone has their own preferences and tastes, but don't pretend like you're making objective statements based on opinions. Also, when has Lana ever written a lyric like the one you gave an example of? The most she's ever done in the vein is mention Chuck by name in Blue Banisters, which she actually also does in Motel 6 as far as I know. It's nothing new and I really don't understand the weird aversion people have towards Lana's family. 
 
Anyways, back to the album: I personally am really looking forward to the rest of this album's lyrical content. The two songs we've gotten so far are very powerful and strong lyrically. They manage to be this beautiful mix of metaphorical and blunt that just wows me every time. Lana proves time and time again that she is an incredible writer. I'm still not over the writing on the title track honestly. I'm just so excited to read the words to these songs and dissect them
