Imagine having Ultraviolence Side B, Honeymoon Side B and Lust for Life Side B like real albums someday

Same, like I think I’ll fall in love with Say Yes To Heaven once it is released even through I’ve heard it 1 million times. Something about listening to music on streaming services feels so different than on YouTube lol

this. I've never understood why people would ever want a song of leaked unreleased songs. instead of getting music, we get music we already have. Lana's also does her best work when she has a vision for an album/era, so throwing together a bunch of unreleased songs that weren't good enough to make past albums would just feel low effort.

The only reasons I can see myself being excited about an album of leaked unreleased songs are:
If releasing it didn't delay her next album at all. If I knew that she already had another album in the works and she was truly releasing this just as a bonus to fans or to get money for songs that are being streamed millions of times on YouTube with no money going to her, I'd be cool with it. It would be nice to have high quality versions of her best unreleased songs and have them easily available across all streaming services Also, not going to lie, I'd get super excited if she re-released AKA with a full physical CD and fully designed booklet, maybe even rereleasing old music videos remastered from that era, etc. I'd definitely buy that and be down for it.
I guess my biggest problem would come in if she promotes it as a brand new era with a bunch of hype and then we get the tracklist and it's just songs we already have. If she instead just posted on IG and said "This is a bonus collection of songs to my fans available next week" and dropped the album, I'd be a lot more content with that.

Uhhhhh No I Won't Accept This
I can't even listen to 25 seconds of the song without pouring every drop of water I have in my body soooo I can't comprehend how all of that could get boring

GUYS WE WON I THINK, Nikki added after saying she was happy for Lanas engagement, that the album and VIDEOS (plural) are like a “Breath of fresh air”. Did she just confirm there will be multiple video projects?? Teehee

Many artists have released anthology albums and material with outtakes in the past. It’s not exactly a new concept. However, with Lana it’s the case that she is missing out on a lot of revenue, money and recognition. Her leaked material has viral potential. It could elevate her popularity a lot and she would get more streams = more money.

There is absolutely no reason why they shouldn’t do it.

    Let's get spicy then!

Two things-there are ALOT of times where Kintsugi is the ultimate skip. Its fucking SAD. It's the saddest song she's ever done. Her lower register, that we've known so long, so reflective yet plain, cruelly plain, about how it feels when someone is slipping/has passed away. It's a personal hell that you can't help but sob. The "Daddy I miss them" portion is just evil ( and Yes Fingertips has shockingly tragic lyrics but they're so specific that it's clearly ONLY about her life, and the beautiful arrangement and her high notes make that song sing much more to me than Kintsugi)

    2. The "Wipeout" section of Peppers is just as epic as the A&W transition and is easily, Easily the most fun I've ever had with a Lana song. That shits so fucking groovy baby! Ugh the second half of Peppers is just pure joy and fun in the sun and it will be murdered by the replay button this summer.

*edit* none of these takes are that hot but let's hear the takes sistrens, we've been in post release for over 2 weeks!

“Let the light in” is a lyrical motif to address all the haters in Spain who told her “Lizzy, apaga la luz”

I think this is an album written for herself and those who are truly invested in her story, like us, and it just so happens that the bops are undeniable and she's in a bigger light than she ever really has been before so all the casuals are giving a listen or two. We should be shocked THIS album is doing this well. A&W is an unmatched all timer from her, but the majority of this album has no business being as streamed as it is, especially Paris, Texas growing as an organic hit. The masses truly found some taste this year but we're just lucky we stan an artist who is still pushing herself and absolutely has more to give 9/10 albums in.

    I think the otherwise.

NFR and COCC have a connection. NFR first starts out as an ode to LA, but she feels burnout towards the end of the album (The Greatest). COCC is about leaving LA, escapism, going to ranch, finding comfort with friends and families (Dance Till We Die). Between two albums we had Looking for America (in terms of recording time), which connects the two album perfectly.

BB and OB have a connection: BB starts with theme she left at COCC, but then the theme is mostly "I'm this, don't change me" (Arcadia,BBS,Violets and Roses, Beautiful etc.). She explains why she is like this opening up things she had never before (Textbook, WFWF etc.). The album ends with her sister having a baby. Then OB adds to this, she starts with the family theme she left at BB and opens up more about why she is like this (Fingertips).

i keep listening to fingertips & initially i was confused of her not singing the “mother” line
but i realize now it’s actually sooooo Profound…
the sparkle muted filter fade over “‘mother” is genius…. she won’t even call her or speak/sing her as a “mother” cause she wasn’t - she was presumably horrible to lana and not a “mother figure” lana wanted or needed. of course it can be written lyrically but she won’t even utter ‘her’ the sort of satisfaction of even being called a “mother” wow
also the nuance in these lyrics is special. only dedicated fans will truly grasp it. the lore of LdR is forever immortal on tunnel. truly genius
