Rarely discussed but something I'd like to talk about is Lana owning her master recording rights and licensing them to Interscope/Polydor for her entire career...
Lana Ben and Ed were truly each other's dream team and special credit to them for buying her out of her old label and getting the rights to AKA because it seemed to teach her an important lesson when she signed with Interscope...I'd just like to bask in her win
It also makes me wonder about the resulting wealth that comes from owning those recordings AND having songwriting publishing rights...especially when she can still do 87,000 US pure sales in debut week in 2023 and 58,500 of those were $40 vinyls...the royalties have to be insane
She's backed off the gaudy displays of wealth in recent years but even just a quick look at her real estate portfolio (neighborhood names withheld) shows she's doing quite nicely and I imagine there's a nice lump sum of cash she hasn't spent
Compound Homes Lots 1&2 - purchase price $5.87 million
High by the Beach House - sold for $3.2 million
Tudor style house - purchase price $2.5 million
Vintage cabin - purchase price $1.17 million
Anyways thoughts or speculations on either point welcome

Lana Ben and Ed literally gave each other careers. She trusted them enough to be their first client and they believed in her enough to want her to be. She praises them every 5 seconds lmao the sped up versions are probably label initiatives like SS remix was but even if it was Ben and Ed you're trying to act like they're evil for giving her a bag pls lmao she did a 5 second selfie cover for her most popular release in years I'm sure she does not give that much of a fuck lmaooo.

it's REALLY weird how some people do not even hide their hatred for Lana anymore, like... why call yourself a fan if the first thing you do when she puts out a song is to call it ''one of her worst songs ever''?

Can't believe we're getting the album so soon
Time flew by with Ocean Blvd in between his first single and the Lana tracks. They did a great job with the scheduling
We got "new" Lana like 4 or 5 weeks in a row
