OMG she has outdone herself AGAIN I love the meta theme so much which made me realize the Jon Batiste Interlude is sort of another behind the scenes piece of Jon and Lana playing in the studio together. That song exudes so much joy to me and it made me feel the same way seeing Lana at the end of CN video smiling on the walk of fame.

Lana served, and if you don't get it, I feel sorry for you.

I am so tired of ‘fans’ complaining about everything. This music video is more than I could ever ask for. It’s so extremely good 

I genuinely don't understand why people are so desperate for a version without the BTS footage. You're getting looks on looks on looks but also Lana's actual personality.
 
There's no actual story to the footage they were filming, the BTS is the story so I'm not sure what you're hoping for?? 

posting a “directors cut” would kill the entire purpose of the video

I can't believe this just happened 
The concept, the story , the big brain energy, the big hair ,  the visuals, the looks,  the everything ...it's perfect, it's art This feels like an instant classic already , she did that!! 
I really thought it's gonna be a very beautiful aesthetical 5 Minute video (like some ppl want it to be lol ) but it turned to be so much more..I am stunned & snatched like Lanas wig in the video 
 

It was uploaded again because Youtube combines Vevo and the artist's channels into one. That is to say, one was published by Lana's team and the other by Vevo.

This video made me so nostalgic... I don't know why I want to cry. Sad and beautiful at the same time - only Lana Del Rey can do something like that. I loved all the looks soo much, she truly is blessed with beauty (and rage) 
I'm excited to see more of videos from this era.... 

I just gasped opening YouTube and seeing that the video is out and it's 11 minutes long. I was NOT expecting this.

I’m literally waiting for my 2 to go to bed to enjoy it.. getting my intermediate fix from reading everybody else’s opinions here

No like literally this was so hi-brow, I’m not shocked people don’t get it. She’s weaponizing that Metaphysics degree to the max 

But this is the director’s cut. The bts and talking scenes are intentional to strengthen the theme and message they wish to convey

People keep saying they don’t want the behind the scenes footage but that’s literally the video. Like that’s the storyline/point of the video. I’m personally glad that she did something different for this. 

this was so beautiful and big brained imo.

This video was showstopping. One of her best. If it didn’t have the BTS footage it would’ve just been glamour shots with no clear story. Very gorgeous glamour shots, but it wouldn’t have the same impact.

basically, the old man represents the music industry. Always driving her around, watching her in the back seat in the mirror, paying for everything.
 
john baptiste represents music. They perform together, they laugh at the people beneath them, they have fun behind the "man's"
back. 
 
then she dies (presumably killed or, rather, killed off by the old man/the industry) and baptiste is sad. his partner is dead. 
 
but she gets a hollywood star in the afterlife. And the industry will keep making money off her image.
 
it's basically an afront to the american star-making machine and selling yourself and your art for money. Lana is saying she's not interested in that, anymore.
