also idk i’ll never understand the superiority complex some stans have when their fav artist writes all their own music, like i could not gaf less about who’s writing in the studio, i just want something fun to listen to like damn…

Her SNL appearance had more personality and flavor than the entire album. I'm not hearing "I bumped into my parents at 3 am outside the club and we were all stoned and drunk" from these tracks. Honestly I'm really just getting a lazy, spoiled rich girl who doesnt give a shit vibe from her at this point.
 
Its like shes making albums because its her job that pays well but not her passion. 
The label can only do so much with an artist that clearly does not care or want to put in the effort to innovate. 
 
Like what even is the theme of this album? "clean girl" "White backdrop" and "uhh... summer?" seem to be the only vibes it gives with the 'summer' part being forced at the last minute.
 
Its weird because she very clearly had the drive to improve as the "go girl give us nothing" moment really showed. Where is that energy now? Did she just think she was done???

i also love met gala because of fashion but sadly, now it stands for money and money only - entertainment business and media's clickbaits. they're making art into a joke which just pumps money for them

obviously i love the met gala since we get to see really cool fashions, but they are literally such clowns for basing their theme off of a story about a dystopian, capitalist society that destroys everything beautiful and good while inviting people who are literally doing just that? just more evidence that hollywood and the mainstream media love to virtue signal while doing the opposite of what they supposedly stand for

Holiday to Live to Tell transition is so sad  

Tbh I didn't have high expectations for this but I have to admit I liked it, it's a cute and fun album for summer My favorites are End Of An Era, Houdini, Training Season, Falling Forever, Maria and Happy For You (I would even say HFY is the best song on the album)
The rest kinda sounded a bit sameish to me and typical Dua idk how to explain it but I don't mean it in a bad way since I enjoyed them but they didn't stood out to me/clicked with me like my faves did
Anything for love was good too but I need more of the actual song, it is so short
Overall for me this is not AOTY but like someone else already said it is a polished pop album and it is fun for summer and imo not a bad album, so it's a win
