Not everyone needs to measure sobriety in the same way. It's possible it means 20 years sober, with occasional 'breaks'/relapses not being counted. She says 11 years in Melancholia, which was recorded I guess 11 years ago, but as I always say, she's terrible with specifics and dates, even important ones.
Also, sobriety doesn't have to mean complete abstinence. I know people who are lucky enough to be able to move from problem drinkers to occasional drinkers without problems, but the important thing is they're not drinking in a self destructive way anymore.

I guess they really got the best of us, didn't they?
They said that love was enough, but it wasn't

I don't wanna be that nerd person but BB actually had collabs w The Last Shadow Puppets saying this because I've noticed that ever COTCC, she started adding some subtle collabs (like in a way where the features have little credits like as background vox or production). So if she continues doing that, we'll probably have a mini-collabs or two on LDR10 where the feature has either background vocals (like Let The Light In) or produces/melodies (like Thunder or Paris Texas) or both (Dealer or Candy Necklace)

agree fully. I appreciate the fact she's acknowledging QFTC had good intentions but something about lyrics like that or talking about zoom/covid always jolts me out of my skin . This is my escape don't say zoom to me girl

I love Grandfather, the build up is heavenly. But that line does take me out of the "zone" a bit, it's almost distracting.
Yes please! Also shoutout to Terrence Loves You for the spot of Lana's best bridges ... I'd love something really ethereal like that again
I agree! The SYML and Riopy features were stunning and still felt so Lana. Jon Batiste on Candy Necklace is insanely good. Tommy Genesis brought the And I'll never turn down Lana and Father John Misty, their musical sounds and voices just complement each other so well. Ocean Blvd had my favourite features of any of her albums so far, because they were kind of "understated" and really flowed with the album. Having said that, I do love Lana without any features so I'm happy with either way she goes
I would actually love this I neeeeeeeeed behind the iron gates

I can't pick
I think A&W is the best Lana song this year, it's a lyrical and musical masterpiece. It's one of those songs that should go down in history, a real legacy cementer.
Unreleased has to be Pink Champagne, but shoutouts to Cry Kill Die and Poetry in Motion
My runners up are probably DYKTTATUOB title track, Fingertips, and Candy Necklace

Like everyone is saying, A&W, hands down. The Grants, Candy Necklace, Kintsugi, and Peppers come super close for me, though.
As for unreleased, Pink Champagne takes the cake. But Madly is right up there too.
2023 was really such a great year to be a fan.
