I like most of her Piano Ballads, I just don’t think she needs dozens of Piano Ballads as they will start to become really stale and won’t really add anything to her discography.  Also I think a few of them would actually sound better with more instrumentation and actually 
 improve the song.  

I think she has been using more stripped back production and Piano because she probably thinks it puts a better focus on her lyrics and voice and doesn’t want too much distraction from complex production.  I think on Ocean Blvd she’s tried to mix it up and offer the best of both worlds.  I do think she cares what critics think, and as NFR worked so well and gelled with them, she probably feels the Piano Ballads were helpful with that.  

My unpopular opinion is that we have had some kind of country/folk influenced songs in every of her albums. Like even Video Games and Ride (they're not "yeehaw and banjo" country but they have like similar rhythm which is in country music), Lana has said that in an interview too. So, country/folk is inevitable at this point but I'm not complaining!

This has truly been the best setlist of the shows so far omg. I’m soooo happy she’s made Hope the closer again, it really is such a touching way to end the show. I cry every time x

it will literally never not make sense to me why brooklyn baby and west coast are not setlist staples for her (or at least one of the two ffs), they are both extremely popular.

I love how she lets every single person on her crew have a shout out and their moment. I truly find it admirable and so lovely

i think its less about saving her from sin or eternal damnation and more about begging to be rescued from her rough life situation. like she has no one in real life to come rescue her and make things better so she's turning to a higher power bc there's nowhere else to turn. would it be more palatable if she was asking like a pagan god of some sort for help instead?
