Lana Del Rey, once one of the few non-mediocre and innovative acts in pop, now is everything she was once the opposite of:( I didn't think it would come so soon lmao

BAR is the only track keeping me, assuming there's a more polished sound.

Like it or not, you have to admit that she is obviously losing all the glamour and greatness she displayed on Born To Die, Paradise, Ultraviolence and even Honeymoon.
The music is the usual-pop-stuff and it isn't really close to her usual "Hollywood-glamour"-aura.
She started to decay with the Weeknd collabs, now she's just one of many artists doing alt-pop.

Don't come for the fans of BTD, it's obvious that this garbage is nothing like anything we wanted.

This, TBH. As soon as a song has beats in it, people compare it to Born To Die LMAO.

Chorus is TRASH, the backing vocal when she says "a stairway" is so cringey, bye, this doesn't work at all.
Yall comparing this to legendary Born to Die is disgusting and you all need to repent. At this point I've lost all hope for this album even though title track did that already lmao.

Because HM was, for the most part, good. It just played it too safe and didn't take any risks.
This is just straight up awful, so yes, HM is comparatively god-tier.

Well, first Lana song that I didn't like. I LOVE her to dead but those beats... It's perfect for #7 song in the album... NOT a single.

Remember when she worked with David Kahne on a dime store budget and made simple music with gorgeous production that had meaningful lyrics? Now we get unmixed Garage Band tracks from two weeks ago.

Now after a few more listens, the bridge and outro are heavenly but I am still disappointed

Okay well it's definately not what I was expecting to say the least. And not as bad as what I was expecting judging by your comments, but yeah it's definately a filler song that probably won't make it to my playlists and one I'd rather skip when I'm listening to the full album. Now I like Love and LFL a lot and BAR is pretty good too, but I'm not gonna deny the fact that I'm a bit worried for the album rn. I'm having high hopes for Yosemite for example, but now I'm just wondering if I really should lower my expectations so I wouldn't be so disappointed if the album turns out to be not as good as I had hoped. 
Some of you guys said that she'd better make a heavier grunge-rock like record after this one and hell yeah I'm here for it - I actually hoped for Ultraviolence to be like that with the IG rehearsal video and all but I soon came to love Ultraviolence which for me stands out as her best record to date.

It's okay but words cannot describe how much i wish it had a different instrumentation. Everytime i hear it i just wish it had drums like in love, and a beautiful violin or something. The song just doesn't have that 'Lana del rey' feel to it at all. It sounds way too generic and basic for her. It's crazy to think this is the same person that made Off to the races, Born To Die, Shades of cool, music to watch boys to etc etc..
 
I always go back to thinking of her first album A.K.A... i mean that whole record has some seriously interesting and unique sounds, stuff i've really never heard before from any artist. And it takes me to magical places when i hear it. Because it's so fresh and creative.
 
But with this new song of hers, something is way off. It's like she didn't even make it. It feels like some low budget dj stole her vocals and lyrics and made this song.

Also lol it's not 2011/2012 anymore, it's not "cool" for press to make fun of/mock Lana anymore (not that it ever was to begin with, but it was definitely a common trend.) I remember last month MTV even posted an article titled "What Was Our Problem With Lana Del Rey?" addressing all of the undeserved backlash she would frequently receive 5 years ago.
Bashing Lana in 2017 just makes for an embarrassing article tbh.. and not for Lana, for the writer/publication.

Yeah, I don't know how she can think so highly of the situation considering Lana literally never drags people anymore, so it's obviously a fuck up on her behalf.
