I would hate that. Or anything to do with her name, legal or stage. I have a good feeling she’ll name it something that makes sense. Maybe something one worded again (hopefully we’ll start seeing a naming pattern. “BTD”- 3 word title, UV and HM- 1 word title, L4L- 3 word title, maybe the next 2 will be single worded and maybe the one after this next album will be in a way a contrast to Honeymoon, if this one contrasts UV like L4L was for BTD

Self titled albums are the worst unless they are very personal songs I think. Whitney Houston and Beyonce have one and they didnt write any of the songs on them, I don't see the point in making it your own name if it's just random songs.

 

If she ever released one called Lizzy Grant then it would be good if it was more of a Greatest Hits album of her more personal songs.

And ofc I had to explain in front of everyone why I had a pornographic edit of Lana in my design and ofc she was the only one to ask me a question

I put MAC just after Get Free on my playlist and even though they are similar because of the sea theme, something is missing between the two. Maybe a brief intro to the record, like RBFY was meant to open LFL? An opening of beach waves, her voice coming from the distance repeating "Into the blue" a couple of times, fading into a melody made of psych guitar or piano... MAC's intro would then be perfect. I really see that track being number 2 on the record. But hey, we still have Venice Bitch to hear: maybe we'll want that track as number 1 or 2 on the album. 

I don't see Venice Bitch as the name of the record. So far, of all the rumored tracks, the only that would make a statement would be... Happiness is a Butterfly. There's a very good chance that the title track hasn't been mentioned yet.

Whoops...so apparently I entered this thread previously but I didn't look at the number of pages and I thought I was entering the pre-pre-release thread. I found that this is the PRE-release thread just now, shit! well..

I am incredibly excited for this new era. Like many of you guys said, this era feels different, it feels like it's gonna be amazing. I definetly see MAC as the first track of the record, it's just perfect for introducing it. I'm seeing this next project as an 11 or 13 track album, definetly more cohesive that LFL. Basically everything you guys said on this thread so far (well, for the most part) is exactly what I'm thinking. Your minds... 

 

Also, I can't wait to see the title of the album and the fucking cover!!

I don't think this is the lead, she didn't even describe it as anything more than a track that she just wanted to put out there. I reckon, either she creates more hype for Venice Bitch (which I also doubt, and will probably be released in the same vein as MAC), or the actual lead will be released closer to the album release (so around nov/Dec) with much more fanfare and commercial interest.

 

The least she always does with her leads is some social media hype, high budget visuals and a long teased premiere. The relaxed release of MAC/VB indicates that these are probably just album tracks, or maybe even two songs that won't be on the album but were recorded in the same sessions / a precursor to the album

You know what? Fuck Big Active and Mat Maitland. Yeah they're good but not enough. I want MORE. I want the next level. I want the absolute best designer of all time, David Rudnick, to design LDR6. Let me tell you, this guy is a LEGEND. I worship every piece he's put out. For example for Nicolas Jaar's Sirens, he designed a vinyl cover made of scratch material, that you need to scratch the reveal the cover, and it comes with a penny. And that's not just sparkles because the designs themselves are unbelievably beautiful. And his intricate ornemental custom typographies are infuriatingly beautiful because he doesn't sell them. Also he's hot which never hurts

 

The only issue ofc is that his universe has nothing to do at all w Lana lol but that's a challenge that would be monstrously interesting to watch unravel precisely

 

Oh and I just discovered that he's the one who made the visuals for Witness if that gives you hints
