I guess she is an artist first and this probably is a burden to her, she might love that she has fans and loves making music but showing this stuff off seems to be on the back burner for her

 

she’ll be hanging with her girlfriends and her new man problem free until her managers finally decide its time for her to get to work, and she will! But until then, (I don’t think) she doesn’t give two craps about promoting or teasing or whatever it is we want from her. Making music and poetry is all her, all this extra stuff is all label

I always got the vibe that Lana is, yes, self-centered and with an inflated ego and bordering on delusional at times about her view of the world

not that she's vain and starving for attention 

 

I don't think that she enjoys or even care about doing promo, showing her pics, being popular, sharing her looks

i think she enjoys it, but in her own pace! some days she wants to take a selfie and post it, or record a video because she's excited about her mv. what she doesn't seem to like is doing this in a tight schedule lol

I also don’t think she cares about doing promo, sharing her looks, being on the top of the charts. I got the vibe that she kinda lives in her own world, minds her own business and doesn’t really pay attention to what happens in the “real world”, so I was a little surprised to see her talking about the pandemic and how it affected people’s lives and totally agree with what she was saying. Deeply people are so unhappy and make their choices based on the wrong reasons but they never stopped to think about it before now.

yeah but compared to her peers, she doesn't think too much about her appearance

i get why she did it and I can see how it fits the intimacy of the song, but that was a choice

although IMHO that didn't seem very self-aware 

she mostly projected her thoughts onto other people 

 

she doesn't seem to understand how bad it can get for someone who's lost their job and has no insurance or isn't able to afford the bare minimum 

her struggles are still privileged struggles after all (not saying that her life is perfect and she shouldn't complain, don't get me wrong)
