Ok but the description on Youtube says the video is in “anticipation of her seventh studio album Chemtrails Over the Country Club”. They probably know enough about the album to understand how the content of the video relates to the themes of the album, which could also explain why they would know about the release date...

I’ve been around for all the album cycles and I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for a Lana album than I am for this one - I think it’s because so much has happened for Lana in terms of her writing, let alone personally and karmically, between NFR and this one, so it seems the most transformative. 
 

 

I also think that Lana’s visual transformations between each era are gradual and kind of fade into each other and seem like natural evolutions stylistically, but this one felt so sudden because of the pandemic and because of how it’s kind of the exact opposite of the early NFR era’s more natural and organic look in terms of the actual promotional images we got. I am so excited!

You completely missed the point of the whole video ... lmao it’s satirical old Hollywood glamour ... Elizabeth has revived Lana Del Reys world known aesthetic in the form of an old documentary .. while portraying the woman blatantly that critics have deemed her to be her whole career. It’s genius really... haven’t been this excited for an era in a while. But y’know don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya ... lol

actually preferred having all those snippets to enjoy last pre release. but. this pre release has still been better, and it's great. I genuinely wonder when we'll be able to hold the vinyls tho. i'm sure it's gonna take some time to get them shipped.

I remember you saying that in NFR, Lana was exploring her masculine side and that with Chemtrails, she seemed to explore her feminine side more. And I wanted to bring that out again because after seeing the new interview, I couldn’t agree more. NFR is the sun, Chemtrails is the moon, NFR has a simple aesthetic, Lana is the captain of the ship, she’s the man. If that album had a scent, it would definitely be marine and masculine. Chemtrails has a glamorous aesthetic, and Lana portrays herself as a chic woman who embraces her fragility. I know it’s too soon to say anything, but the scent of that album would probably be delicate and floral.

 but actually seeing as to how we're just moving closer through September, it just seems pretty alright atm.

Something HAS to come next week, and I’m pretty confident it will...even an announcement of LMLYLAW for the week after (unless she won’t announce it later today)!

I feel like the album rollout has officially started this week with the Interview Mag interview, photo shoot and video, and I doubt she’ll go into hibernation for weeks again, now...

Hopefully we’ll get something every week till album release: a song, album trailer, preorder, interviews. photo shoots, ecc.

I love the interview magazine video. Was not expecting this and I'm living for it!!! Lana with the cats in the bath tube ICONIC

I love this era and it's aesthetic so far!!!

 

Imagine she never said that the album will be out September 5th and instead she would have said that the album is coming later this year or that COTCC will be out in Fall ...no Sep 5th drama and instead we only found out about Interview magazine on that day and the video  few days later

 

Really looking forward to this album!! 

The song titles and the aesthetic are gorgeous so far and I truly love them
