Blue Banisters - Pre-Pre-Release Thread

Based on what we’ve heard so far, where do we think Blue Banisters will reach in terms of critical acclaim? I think NFR! has some competition, but maybe I’m biased:flutter:

well wildflower has GRAMMY! written all over it

i think this album will get either trash scores or really amazing ones, the trash ones will just be bias tho cuz ofc lana won’t deliver a rubbish album after the last 4 albums :silly:

I pray for the tracklist tomorrow

One day before the single

I strongly manifest Dealer, Cherry Blossom, Living Legend

and Wild On You to appear on the tracklist.

Or

one of the two tracklists that

I believe we are going to get.

Has anyone listened to the newest Arcadia snippet verse 2? It sounds so magical, like Once Upon a Dream. Have we established if it's fake yet? I need to know before I fall even more in love with it :cryney:

girl it's so fake :thumb2:

Jimmy Gnecco (Orchestra Version) (Ft. Jimmy Gnecco and Courtney Love) is gonna be the album's lead single, not Arcadia

Just cause she mentions America doesn't mean we are getting a song like American or anything from that era :delish:

Comparing herself to maps, mountains and roads is a new concept she hasn't explored yet even if she's refering to places in the US (cause she's American after all)

Yeah, comparing her own body to stolen land is definitely not a tired, tired trope and sus. All this talk of "making reparations", does she mean reparations for living on stolen land or is it these god-awful lyrics that she's pre-emptively making reparations for?

It depends on if she reworked the unreleased but I think critics will probably knock her some points for those feeling like a regression, especially due to their really different lyrical tones

probably LFL-COCC range reviews. NFR was a once in a career type of acclaim I think

If she reworked the unreleased songs, I’d say the album could be more acclaimed than COTCC. Maybe not as much as NFR, but who knows? The problem with old unreleased is that most of them, despite being beautiful, sound like demos. I think pretty much anyone that knows Lana a bit would be disturbed if songs from 2013/2014 were included in a 2021 album without being reworked and re-recorded. It would just sound off imo

I'll do it for the right reasons

Withstanding all the time, changes and seasons

what do you mean "making reparations" for living on stolen land? she can't help the fact she was born here? honestly we could say the same for anybody living anywhere or referencing any location in the world because terrible shit has happened literally everywhere, everybody forgets that america isn't the only area of the world which has a terrible past, she can reference it in her work if she wants, she lives in america and has traveled all over it so of course she'll likely talk about it in her work
