honestly that would've been fair if the song was for season 1, but season 2 is WAY more raw and real and doesn't have as much fantasious elements as season 1. WCE perfectly fits

Billie and Rosalia’s song had very minimal production too, so it’s not too surprising.

after first listen, i’m def disappointed. something seems off with the timing of her vocals and the instrumentals. something about it seemed…improv maybe? the melody doesn’t do much either it’s kinda messy tbh  maybe i just set my expectations a little too high when i hear a lana x euphoria song was coming out, but this song was a huge missed opportunity in terms of creating something with a little more of a ‘bang’ and a lot more catchier. 

 

who knows maybe the song will grow on me. but on first listen i just wasn’t feeling it.

At first i heard what u meant with the timing thing, but after listening again shes actually on time. The first time she says “watercolor eyes” in the chorus, “water” lands on the downbeat, the second time she makes “color” land on the downbeat and “water” is a pickup. The third time, the “wa” in water is back on the downbeat. Hope that makes sense.

When the beat gets more obvious in the second half of the song, the timing “issue” is gone. Any other tempo problems can be chalked up to rubato which is something she tries to do a lot, with varying degrees of success
