Obduration 6,554 Posted January 28, 2022 The first time I discovered Lana was on Tumblr when I was 14 in 2012. I was scrolling through my dashboard and saw someone reblogged the national anthem music video. The moment I clicked on that video my life really would never be the same. I remember Ice skating on my friends lake to dark paradise and drinking underage listening to TIWMUG. this album literally rewired my brain and I’m so grateful for this album (and the rest of her discography) defining my youth. 10 years feels so weird

King of taste. 2 Quote "You can't be a muse and be happy, too. After Miley rips off Lana's aesthetic, she bullies Lana into changing her release date. It is infuriating.

West Coast 45,850 Posted January 28, 2022 This album was such an experience oh wow. I remember I started listening to Lana during the summer of 2012. Video Games was the first song I listened to, then the songs that were available on YouTube; Born To Die, Blue Jeans, Carmen, etc. I was OBSESSED with Video Games from the first listen, I actually bought the single on iTunes. Then Ride, Blue Velvet & American came out and I digged those songs too, especially Ride. It wouldn't be until November that I would buy the double album. The first full listen was an otherworldly experience. I would listen to both the album and EP non-stop for the next year, then Ultraviolence came out and it really cemented Lana as my fave. It's crazy how time flies. 10 years.
