i don't get why this is so mysterious to some of you  its been 10 years since it was recorded, so its very possible that the rights for the song went back to him. we have no idea if it was released with or without lana's blessing, its very possible that she requested her name to be taken off the track, or that he could only release the track without any references to her on it. either way, i dont think you can blame him for trying to get some coins from a song with millions of streams on tik tok...

No but seriously, I don't get why some of y'all talk about Peter Ibsen in such a nasty way or feel the need to harass him in his DMs. If I had produced the most popular unreleased Lana Del Rey song that goes viral on the regular and got millions of views on YouTube without me ever getting any royalties, I'd also try to change that lmao. 

 

Either this is an official release and he has the rights to the song, then that's perfect because Peter can make some well-deserved coin and I can (hopefully) soon add Serial Killer to my Insta stories. Or it's not, then it'll get taken down, but even then we still got two songs in lossless quality out of it. So the way I see it, this whole thing is a huge win for the culture either way.

Methinks people can do what they want, but it's a tad "cringe" to ween/cowtip and then show the evidence/brag about it , for the sake of the site people shouldn't be nudged in any directions which can cause mess for the site/lana/team (We don't know what's with the rights behind the scenes). I saw someone comment that they allegedly alerted Lana's team about this 🥴, more narc-ing on display, as these people aren't friends with/team members with Del Rey and her associates. Stan boundaries get crossed lolllll . Cheers to the producer if this is legal/contractually fuzzy and he can get a few coins from the stream popularity (Guessing it is, due to the metadata crediting her as a composer)
