I’m so happy to know that she’s returning to a nautical soundscape (based on RIOPY’s comments and Neil’s use of the 🌊 emoji). She embodies the ocean so perfectly and I love the feeling of familiarity I get from her songs that do lean into that. The title track of Ocean Blvd felt like a grounding breath to get back to what feels natural, if that makes sense.

lots of plateau rocks, 7/11s, wharfs, and car washes. Maybe tropical flowers as well. Hawaii but mainland. Lots of blue and yellow shades this era, despite it supposed to be non-color associated.

 

but the grants gives me weathered cobble with ivy growing on it. Maybe some sheets of moss sprouting from the crags. This one is different from the rest.
