Completely agree! I am not saying I wish Lana was broke and certainly don't think that artist should suffer for their art. With that said, as you mention there is something about the art that comes from the fire of trying to prove yourself. Once you're more establish - like with any job, as you reach a higher place it becomes more of a job and that fire to constantly prove yourself fades away. I was just imagining what her art would look like in 2020 if she was still up and coming. It would be interesting how it would differ from say 2010, given the current world state.

Also, on another note - I personally don’t see using dating apps as an act of desperation. It’s really brave! You want to meet new people that aren’t in your normal circle of friends. It’s admirable. Why shouldn’t you use the power of the internet to meet a potential life partner? I also met my boyfriend of three years on Tinder. Good for you, Lana! 

 

 

Well we know that Lana tends to be a little bit naive at times... but with obsessed fans that broke into her house and armed psychos who tried to kidnap her at concerts, I agree that downloading those apps it's not the wisest thing to do in her position...

Tbh, I feel kinda bad that Lana catches most of the hate based on the men she dates. I've never dated anyone before, but I don't think it's common for one of the first questions to ask is, "are you racist, misogynist, or xenophobic?" Rather, I think it's more of if you have common likes and dislikes, and if you're somewhat compatible then you start dating. When the person she's dating is revealed to be problematic, suddenly it's (mostly) Lana's problem. Like, maybe we should put more focus on the men for being trash. ❤️️

I like that she feels comfortable enough to use "normal people" dating apps, but I'm scared for her, knowing how many fuckboys are going to be coming her way, knowing exactly who she is, but not caring about her as a person.

I completely understand what you're saying and I agree but here's the thing: I am a vegetarian and if I was on a date with somebody and they'd tell me "I am a butcher and I love my job" that would without a doubt be the end of that date because obviously our interests/morals/ideals are not matching at all.

If you passionately support BLM and hate Trump etc. you will not date a racist, homophobic Trump supporter - you can't, it won't work out. Morals and world views and ideals are so fundamental that if somebody thinks completely different it automatically makes them unattractive in your eyes. If you can overlook all these negative things in a person you are to a certain extent okay with it. And that's what makes people criticise not just the men but Lana too.

 

That's the way I think anyway, maybe others would disagree.

What if this was just a publicty stunt for the upcoming album?

Those photos were never before seen so the profile must be legit but she is so reserved about her private life and I think she's also well aware of her megastar status (even tho as I've already said she's a bit naive at times) that I find quite difficult to believe that this wasn't somehow staged...

I mean, every little thing Lana does make headlines, it's a matter of time till the media pick the news up and run with it...

Not to be some sort of conspiracy theorist but maybe this could also be just a way to "clean her public image" after S**n and indirectly let the gp know that they broke up so she's not associated with him anymore...

I'm sure that whoever thought of this (Lana herself or her management) knew that the profile would've eventually resurfaced!
