Chestnut Fox Sexy Jesus 3,026 Posted July 21, 2020 Today marks L4L anniversary. I hate being sketchy on Lana because I love her to bits but let’s just take a moment to remind ourselves it’s unlikely that COCC will be any worse than that.
Lemonade Tears 1,574 Posted July 21, 2020 I also suspect that we also might finally get that compilation album of unreleased tracks Lana was talking about doing a few years ago. Interscope would love to get something like that out too! Don't get your hopes up... I'm preparing myself for the very realistic possibility that we'll never get an unreleased album or pacific blue.
GeminiLanaFan 49,755 Posted July 21, 2020 Today marks L4L anniversary. I hate being sketchy on Lana because I love her to bits but let’s just take a moment to remind ourselves it’s unlikely that COCC will be any worse than that.I won’t comment on the whole LFL again because I’m one of the few that really like it, though it’s not her best. What I liked about LFL was how we learned the names of the songs though various media (a title from an article here, another one from another interview there). And yes, I know there were some flaws to that rollout (Yosemite and no release date until the end of May, which is what happens when you begin talking too much about an album when still recording). The photo shoots were also splendid. Each album has a different pre-release, which is something. I do prefer COCC’s silent treatment to the whatever that was NFR though; that era finally made sense a month before its release.
MargaretThatcher 1,333 Posted July 21, 2020 Don't get your hopes up... I'm preparing myself for the very realistic possibility that we'll never get an unreleased album or pacific blue. I’m not holding my breath but I do think something like that will come out one day. Those kinds compilations do tend to make money and her unreleased songs are already getting out there. It would make sense for Lana and Interscope to capitalize on that. Then there was the talk of Lana writing a broadway musical, but I don’t know where that is going. I won’t comment on the whole LFL again because I’m one of the few that really like it, though it’s not her best. All her records are exceptional, it’s just that all her other records outdo LFL, but that’s just a testament to her talents.
gelliosf 40 Posted July 21, 2020 I read it as in she’s telling herself to stop waiting for someone she deems perfect to come her way that may never arrive and rather just settle for him which is what most people do when they’re older and more mature it’s honest but also kinda wtf lol I think plus the fact that it seems everyone is always looking for that "perfect" person and "perfect" just doesn't exist. It's not possible.
Ultra Violet 19,184 Posted July 21, 2020 Which Unreleased song feels like your guilty pleasure? Mine is Hit & Run I don't know why I love it so much but it sounds so early 2000s, and kinda Lady Gagaish and reminds me of the time I discovered it in my final year of high school and I would listen to it and pretend I was not a model student and in fact a crazy bombshell who drives round town
takeitdoen 10,629 Posted July 21, 2020 Which Unreleased song feels like your guilty pleasure? Mine is Hit & Run Hahaha Hit + Run is so iconic. My housemates and I used to make fun of it and sing 'Simpson's Hit and Run' when we listened to it, but it is genuinely a trashy bop. Guilty pleasure indeed. I also really like Dynamite despite it being a lil kitchy.
Off To The Races 2010 demo pls 19,336 Posted July 22, 2020 The meltdowns if NFR! had been titled Bird World 3 Quote "ser bella me dio privilegios, pero ser astuta me dio poder"
takeitdoen 10,629 Posted July 22, 2020 The meltdowns if NFR! had been titled Bird World I'm still pretty confident she was saying 'Burnt World', which relates to the album artwork and some of the lyrics on NFR. 'Bird World' would've been just as iconic however.

Ultra Violet 19,184 Posted July 23, 2020 Just because someone may not deliberately be hurting people, it doesn't mean they should be impervious to criticisms. Lana clearly does not think about how her privilege benefits her, normalises the problem and takes something away from others. And actually, she clearly IS bothered when people call her out. So much that she will backlash with a stream of comments or ignore it & silently suffer. I wish she'd learn, which would also prevent her from going through this again, but she just ain't.
Ultra Violet 19,184 Posted July 23, 2020 Like correct me if I'm wrong but it's ok to hate her for multiple visits to a homophobic church but not okay to hate on her if she's still in relations with a blue lives matter cop cause it's her personal choice and that's to far, you'll hurt her!!!
MargaretThatcher 1,333 Posted July 23, 2020 I look at some of these comments, some suggesting that she is not “sincere” or “deep” when in fact her music is deep and sincere and inspires many people around the world. As for Lana being bothered when people call her out, she has been treated like crap from the press and online for years. How much of that do you expect her to take before she snaps? I’m surprised she didn’t unload sooner. But can one really be a fan and really love her while constantly acting like she is not deep and accusing her of being privileged while not really knowing what she deals with on a day to day basis? This is not how fans treat the artist they like. When I do see this I have to question the sincerity of those who make these kinds of comments and then claim to be fans. Again, Stan culture and toxic fandom destroys artists. It destroyed Amy Winehouse 9 years ago today. Just some food for thought.

MargaretThatcher 1,333 Posted July 23, 2020 did anybody try the chicken, I thought the chicken was lovely Even though I’m trying to go vegetarian, I still can’t resist a really great chicken. Just put some on the grill a few days ago and I’m like “can I really give this up?”
