Tough is doing so well on streaming and with more casual listeners (and TikTok stans), but a lot of people on LB have already moved on because of the new leaks i think a big reason is people on LB for example, love her songwriting. It doesn't seem like she was involved in that process much seeing how many other writers there are. There's also a good portion of stans who are not into rap or quavo, which I can understand. The general public loves catchy bops so i knew it would do well with people outside the fandom. 7 Quote ♡︎

Deadly Nightshade 12,849 Posted July 6 i've been watching a couple of reaction videos from people who don't usually listen to lana's music and it is so interesting to see them liking the song or even being shocked that they like a lana song lmao 6 Quote 𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚎𝚊𝚜𝚘𝚗𝚜 𝚈𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚐𝚘𝚕𝚍 𝚊𝚞𝚝𝚞𝚖𝚗𝚊𝚕 𝚑𝚊𝚣𝚎 𝙱𝚞𝚝 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚍𝚒𝚎𝚜 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚒𝚍𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚆𝚑𝚎𝚗 𝚠𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚜 𝚒𝚝𝚜 𝚏𝚊𝚌𝚎

Personally I’m more a GP listener where I do appreciate her deeper songs but I’m way more likely to gravitate towards her more fun tracks 8 Quote "Don’t forget me"
ChaoticLipster 24,618 Posted July 6 I just hope they keep pushing the song, because it has the potential to top the charts. 24 minutes ago, NikoGo said: I think the problem is people on Lanabaords are more likely to like her more deep cut/slower/more personal tracks, while her more upbeat songs have always been the ones that click with the GP. All very good and beautiful, but I think it’s just what she needs something more fast paced. 12 Quote Arches are Illusions solid at first glance

As long as it's in the top 50, I'd be happy. We need a hit. but hopefully, it'll do better than syth, love etc. because, well, we've got plenty of those. But not enough hits like summertime, snow, west coast, young and beautiful, and dont call me angel, which were all in the top 20

SYTH already outstreamed them multiple times over despite peaking at #54. I mean SYTH outstreamed a bunch of #1 hits lol. Billboard is a useless chart. I get you. But a song can both peak and stay there a long time. Look at Sabrina Carpenter. That's what we want.
jazzlessbaby 1,599 Posted July 6 I'm still not entirely fond of Tough, but I keep finding myself chanting the chorus. I'll have to give Clay his 10s, because he ate. 5 Quote ...and I'm happy for this day No matter what you say I don't have to be sad like you

angel galore 167 Posted July 6 the track isn't really my kind of thing but i have to say i am really surprised i ended up enjoying quavo's parts of the song equally or maybe even more than lana's, i never liked any of his solo projects that much and i was kinda expecting to hate this song because of that. their voices sound great together, sounds like they really appreciated each others presence & contributions!! i saw someone say the MV gives p*rno vibes and now i can't get that out of my head when i watch it but i still think it's very interesting, very lana influenced, you can tell it's THEIR project and not like a quavo ft. lana kinda thing, i hope there's more on the way! :p

It's in my summer playlist, and it's been a while since I had a Lana track in one of those. Doin' Time was probably the last song I played everywhere. I just really hope it's a hit. It mustn't flop.
