I feel like yall are forgetting she’s a human, and not a song writing machine. 
 

yes, this is the longest wait we’ve ever had,  but she literally just got married like 6 months ago, and has been pretty open about the fact that she’s been creatively blocked. She’s been mentioning being uninspired since post NFR, so getting 3 albums since then is quite impressive. 
 

I get that it’s partly her fault for announcing new music so soon, but life can/will/did get in the way, and that’s fine!!!

 

she’s released 9 albums in 10 years, which is more than some artists have released in 20, and the way some of you talk you would think she hasn’t released music in 5 years, when it’s been barely 2 since Ocean, and we’ve gotten performances/singles since then.

we ARE. We're here daily, fucking waitin' on it. The issue is that she's announcing albums and singles and then not delivering.

i'm all for her living her life and i agree with what you said but still, i would be disappointed if this album were delayed again (which many users here seem to think it will be), as part/most of it has probably been done for years, as it was announced several times, etc. saying this doesn't equal considering her to be a song writing machine, fans also have the right to voice out their disappointment when they're consistently being lied to

that being said, we're used to it now and i still think it's coming in may despite the radio silence

Shifting my attention to other artists helped tremendously with waiting for Lana’s claim to come true. At this point, I think she knows that it was a non-Friday date. 
 

although we’re still two months before Stagecoach, their poster saying it’s a special country setlist makes me believe we will have the two singles before for sure. Might be another double-single release type of situation but it will happen. I wouldn’t be surprised that she’d premiere new songs outside of these two also.

 

another thing; this forum seems to forget that once a lead single is released, we are happy for like two days. Then it’s “I want more” type of anxiety here

And many artists don't even creatively last 10 years--they fizzle quickly.

 

Lana's output has been of extraordinarily high quality. She's never released a purely bad album (knockwood) like so many other reputable contemporary artists have. I may not care much for OB, but I can't objectively say it's a bad album.

This is a smart move in every way. "Man does not live by Lana alone." Making a pure cult figure of an artist is bad for the cultist and bad for the artist too.

she’s been making music since 2005/2006 too so it’s been almost 2 decades of creative output from her…sirens to aka lizzy grant, all the unreleased songs from every era and in between every era. idk any artist like her.
