"You can't be a muse and be happy, too.

You can't blacken the pages with Russian poetry and be happy." - Blue Banisters

Quote

I asked Asmodeus (the demon of lust) to make Miley Cyrus suffer. I am not happy with these new developments. After Miley rips off Lana's aesthetic, she bullies Lana into changing her release date. It is infuriating.

8. lust for life

it's really difficult to rank some of these albums because i love them all in very different ways, the only rankings that are 100% concrete as of right now are aka, honeymoon, and lust for life. right now (and always) lana del ray aka lizzy grant is my all time favorite, and honeymoon is a close 2nd, and lust for life has always been my least favorite. i predict that chemtrails over the country club will be in the top 5 at least.

It does vary from day to day since they’re all enchanting though. And I often wonder where Chemtrails will fall on the ranking...

Update:

1. Honeymoon

2. Ultraviolence

3. Norman Fucking Rockwell!

4. Paradise

5. AKA

6. LFL

I find myself listening to NFR the most but I wouldn’t say it’s better than HM or UV. Idk how to rank BTD tbh cause it’s not number 1 but I don’t see it as outside the top 3. That album was just such a moment, a classic, very replayable, etc. I can’t compare it to the others.

I believe Paradise, UV and HM are peak Lana, the way she paints pictures just with words (some of my favorite lyrics of her are scattered across these albums) and the attention to detail in the production of each track amazes me in every listen.

1. NFR!

2. HM

3. UV

4. Paradise

5. BTD

6. LFL

7. AKA

Maybe if AKA was still out in streaming platforms I could put it higher than LFL since it's certainly a good album. I used to be an UV stan and kind of disrespected HM but it's certainly aged like fine wine

And none of them is bad!!

Love AKA but I would like a remastered version more and really love it ( except 3 tracks) but I can relate to some LFL songs more ( e.g 13 Beaches and Change)

But sometimes the rating depends on my mood , especially place 5 to 8

Swan Song. It’s on my album Honeymoon. It’s the antithesis of hopefulness. It’s about trying to find beauty in giving up. If I had my way, I would continue to persist in all areas of my life, but it can be quite challenging because I can be too trusting too soon.":sadcore2:
