    Good morning, everyone!
You may notice our page count went down a bit, as I not only moved a ton of off-topic posts our of here, but I also made a separate thread for the oceanblvd Instagram and moved all the prior posts about it into the new thread. I just feel like it should have its own place for discussion so people can stay up to date about that account specifically in its own thread rather than having it mixed in with all of the other album news.
I still have hundreds of pages to catch up on, so more off-topic posts will continue to be moved as well over the next few days as I catch up. Big thanks to my mods who have been helping out in the meantime.
Anyway, I saw we discovered and received a lot of amazing news last night! Things just keep getting more and more exciting.
Here's to another day of hopefully more excitement (and no fighting!)
Love you all, happy Wednesday xx

I’m not trying to be rude or start more drama in this thread but saying “hey everyone starving for information about an album that they are excited for, I know things about it! BUT I won’t say anything, sorry! “  just comes across as attention bait. You know people are dying for any crumb, especially about a&w. So it’s just like…don’t say anything in the first place then?

I don't see any bop coming with the record. BOZ said we would have to be open minded listening to it for the first time, & the songs are very wordy and >5min so... But Idc about a bop with lana I'm happiest when she releases songs I don't get tired listening to after 3 months, when you discover new aspects of a song because you never paid attention to them before you know it's great

Small venue tours. Honestly her performing mainly at 21+ venues would really help control with crowding

24’s bridge is legendary. I will not hear any slander.  I can’t wait to hear Let the Light In, the title alone has me perched. Reminds me of GKIT’s bridge.

If other albums deserved that title "Lana's best record" then why didn't they get that recognition? When Lana released NFR she came from L4L so the influence of having just released a good album couldn't have been the reason for NFR becoming her flagship album. I agree that there are albums that deserve more recognition, like Honeymoon, but I also think that if NFR gets that title it must be for a reason.

Listen, NFR was great and has so many amazing songs. The writing was beautiful. However, if you compare it to other albums like Honeymoon, it’s not as good. Don’t get me wrong, NFR is pure poetry and I like the vibe, but compared to other albums, it doesn’t stand out as much.

EDIT: If NFR is your personal favorite that’s amazing and YOUR opinion ! What I’m trying to get at is the media framing it as her best work because there’s so many other albums that deserve appreciation- if not more

i think that’s why i get so annoyed about nfr’s hype, to be a lana fan and to know her writing deeply and to have listened to honeymoon, it feels insulting when people say nfr’s the best album or her songwriting highlight. of course the writing is great, it’s lana del rey after all, but nothing on it compares to blackest day, honeymoon, religion, terrence loves you, swan song.

Having this feeling that Ocean Boulevard will be Lana's Hejira. Or maybe her Dead Petz (had Dead Petz been critically acclaimed like it should've been). But whatever it is, it's gonna be OUT THERE, and I need some out of left field work from Lana. I love her "return to roots" music from the last two albums, but I need a shock. I've been going back to LFL so much recently because I need a sharp turn like that album or NFR were.

I mean this is the politest way possible but what are you talking about. Born to Die is steadily climbing. 73 last week and 65 this week on the Billboard 200 and it's 11 years old. Not to mention that DYKTTATUOB is maintaining the 300k daily streams range on spotify alone

I think Lana wanted to become a star before BTD and discovered the ugly sides of it during 2012-14,  that’s why she no longer gives a fuck about being up on the charts or being a very known artist.

I just really want her to give us something dark, a bit more upbeat, psychedelic, inspired and fieryyyyyyyy before she really gives up on making sad bops. Like girl is not getting any younger, eventually we’re going to only be getting piano ballads and country songs…. Please god please

I miss Album trailers\samplers GOD they were so iconic.

That Summertime Sadness endless b-roll footage of smoke and then the snippets being stitched together for fake leaks
The West Coast B-roll footage serving more drama than the music video itself
the GORGEOUS footage from the original Ultraviolence video + Honeymoon BTS and listening to Freak for the first time.

and of course the most iconic of them all aka L-st For Life which didn't have any song playing but was crypt af. Ugh. Iconic. Just iconic.

She's a VISUALIST when she's in the mood for it.
