And she knows she could have released an "Unreleased Tracks" album and it would have been her second or third most-streamed album. But i wish there was a specifix focus on BTD outtakes as they are pretty consistent in themes and production too.
 

First I disagreed with the first post, then I read this and agreed.
Although i loved what we got from Ultraviolence, there was still the change from the original Ultraviolence video (recycling it for Freak really watered it down), the PWYC video never coming through, etc. I think that after Paradise, "missed opportunities" have been SO reoccurring and it shows because theres always something missing. Scrapping Best American Record and getting it replaced with White Mustang was also a big loss.

I 100% agree. They always lack something or just feel rushed. Candy Necklace was pretty close to perfect for me and I actually loved the strong concept behind it.

Hey everyone, totally new here, just wanted to say I had NO idea Twigs was such a prolific artist until she drew it to everyone's attention recently. At any rate, I've been listening to her released music since 2014 and now I can say I have a new respect for what she does. What projects, that were confirmed to exist, but scrapped, are your favorite, that you really wish they would come into fruition, as planned?

Just for the record, most of these projects that I'm talking about:
— Scrapped Lana Del Ray a.k.a. Lizzy Grant tracklist (In an interview on a French page it was revealed, that Lana wanted to change her name on the cover to "Lana Del Ray" and add some new songs to the record right before its release, but manegment wanted the album to be as it was)

For me such projects are
1. Making "Cola" a second single and releasing the video for it
2. Scrapped deluxe edition of Ultraviolence with tracks "Fine China" and "Your Girl"
3. Scrapped Lust for Life B-Side album with outtakes

And I possibly looking at the idea of turning Paradise into the full separate album, I really feel like songs from September 2012-February 2013 are so-so Paradise coded, I wonder what would've been if she tried to include there songs like Angels Forever (Demo Version), Ave Maria, Wild One, I Talk to Jesus, and I Don't Wanna Go,

but I'm not sure yet if it would've looked right, I still imagine Paradise time as its own thing, but in Born to Die universe, if that makes sense

As expected, the US blocked the vote for a permanent ceasefire. All other 13 countries with veto power voted FOR a permanent ceasefire, except Britain who abstained.

This war has for sure turned the tide against Israel permanently. The way that so many of my family and friends talk about this situation, even hardcore zionists, is so so different. Finally Palestinian oppression is no longer silent. It might take 50 years, it might take 100, but Palestine will be free, I know it in my soul.

So if she's left Capitol, does that really mean Masochism is gone?
If that's the case, I think unless she teams up with a great producer very very soon who really supports her and challenges her, her music career is officially over.

I think this is one of those situations where intention is really important. At the time, I don't think it was made to offend someone - other than those who were so anti-gay and anti-LGBTQ+ in general. It was edited for the radio and some radio stations banned it, both because of the Coca Cola name being used but also subject matter. Some stations thought it wasn't "radio friendly" enough because of what he was singing about. It's iconic for a reason. Ray talked about it, saying, "It really doesn't matter what sex Lola is, I think she's alright". I think it's just a representation of the youth of that time, being more open-minded. (This also scares me because most people my age now are pretty open minded about LGBTQ+ plus, but looking at how the older generations have flipped their opinions, it worries me that my generation will do the same.) Also, it's ironic, considering the name of the band, but that isn't offensive lmao I'm not trans or dress in drag, but I do think it's an important topic that's already had and will always be had surrounding this song.
Either way it's an important, classic song and i'm pretty sure it's my bf's favorite song from The Kinks. Probably my favorite too, next to Yes Sir No Sir from the album before Lola, Arthur
