so. me and my boyfriend were playing BB in the car and he was screaming ‘I DONT WANNA LIIIIIIIIIIIVE’ with me during Dealer, he really likes BB and his favorites are Text Book, Arcadia, IYLDWM, WW and Thunder. i can keep him now

I'm hearing some weathervane sounds at the beginning of Thunder when she starts singing. I hope we have instrumentals soon.

We might have been wrong about what the song was about, but we were right about it being an absolute icon and an album highlight 

black bathing suit is already a classic   

i have the premonition that she is now creating really dirty vibes with mike dean. after what she showed in dealer, i leave with the assumption that her next album will be psychedelic trap rock anthem with proper hollywood airs. Zach, mike, barrie and rick are sure to transform the new album into a firework of emotions and I suspect she won't do piano ballads anymore if she do - it will be a slow motion depressive beach boys track or an emotional trip hop song like million dollar man

The second "Why can´t you be good for something" is everything. 

I feel like Thunder is the lyrical older sister to Shades Of Cool. They’re both love songs dedicated to troubled men who Lana knows are flawed and distant and will probably never satisfy her in the long term. 
 
But Shades feels a little more tortured and depressed, and the haunting instrumentation has a lot to do with that. She understands the man is unfixable and she’ll never understand him, but she still calls him her baby and vies for his attention over other women. 
 
Thunder’s a little more grown up, where she again accepts he’s unfixable and distant. But this time, she doesn’t try to love him despite his flaws and compete for his attention. This time she’s just like fuck it, I care about you but you have issues so you might as well leave like you always do. She’s at peace with their dynamic. She’s not chasing him anymore. 

it breaks me when she sings "mommy is there" in cherry blossom after all she's revealed about her relationship with her mother in this album.

it's like she's saying "even tho i'm hurt, i'll still take care of you." 

Well, a tiring week of work in which the Blue Banisters kept me company - And the more I listen to this album, the more I like it. This album is certainly vying for second place in my rankings with the NFR, after Ultraviolence and before Honeymoon.
 
My girlfriend, who is a casual listener, loved the album, especially "Cherry Blossom" and "Sweet Carolina" - She's a mother now so I think these songs spoke directly to her in a very emotional way. And my father called me this morning to thank me for the CD I bought him - Is it that or he will "steal" my CD's  - and to say he loved the album and couldn't stop listening to it. His favorite songs are "Arcadia", "Dealer" and "If You Lie Down With Me". 

I'm high (not by the beach) but, this sounds pretty complicated
 
Also today I went to the ATM to put some cash into my acc, only to empty it out again when I got home, for BB, for Lana

If I had to choose a record for Lana to provide commentary on (similar to the brief one she did for UV), I think I would choose Blue Banisters or Honeymoon. 
 
Arguably more than any of her past records, Blue Banisters is just chock-full of obscure references, conversations, and symbolism. I’d even love to hear more background on the production choices of songs like WFWF and BBS; the tracklist selection process would be really neat as well given how narrative-driven it is. 
 
If she does another livestream, hopefully one of the gays will mention something from this to her

He posted the cover on his IG story the day it was released and wrote "Beautiful", so I don't think there's any beef/drama.

i think the signed art card drop for this album is so interesting i wish i would have invested in it! the way she’s posted so many updates and there so many different versions (silver, green, shortened) 
i can see a collection of the three becoming very very valuable one day!

I'M OBSESSED. can't wait to get the red and white vinyl too
