Fun fact: She tried to book Jack for some seasons but he is too busy with bleachers tour. Maybe he will find sometime do miss Lana again? Lets find out... Some weird collaborations (producers ones) can happen too... She is trying somethings to happen yet. Lets cheer for miss Lizzy!

I can’t wait to see what distinctive thing she does with her appearance to signify the new era  I hope it’s bayangs or something big and bold makeup/hair wise

Just coming to this thread to say how much of a classic this album is and how weird, yet somehow beautiful, is the fact that it's one of her most unknown projects, or at least among the ones that made less noise. It's just got better and better to listen to since it was released and I'm sure the years will solidify it more and more. What an amazing record.

I actually think Blue Banisters was to some extent UV 2.0, or the most similar thing we'll get to see as the evolution of that album. 

since the thread has been lacking news as of late, I think it could be fun to rank what our (possibly unrealistic) genre hopes are for LDR9–or any future project, really.

I guess there's an inner circle, "team Lana," whose job it is to constantly provide fans with info and material they get directly from her, so it never gets boring.

I had a dream that it was about 10 years in the future, and Lana was a regular cast member of a 'Real Housewives of Southern California' show.

Yes! I sort of was the one to share that, as LanaBoards has a partnership with LDR Village so I talk to the director sometimes and he told me he made her jacket for the awards. I asked about its meaning and he said he couldn't share any info yet, but when I suggested it should be sold as merch he said "oh it might!" x
 

I've loved all of Lana's releases, but I had to come back to this thread, because several months later it's still my favorite album. Each of BB's songs are absolutely beautiful, but Thunder onward is just masterpiece after masterpiece 
 
 

So, as usual, we just don't know. The only thing we do know for certain is that we'll have Buddy's Rendezvous by June, in one form or another. It will be available to listen to at least, if not purchase. 
 
And judging by the things we've been told here lately, the 'American Standards' album is/was just a pipe dream of Lana's and doesn't exist in actuality (that's unverified, of course). 
 
We don't know the status of the Nikki Lane collaboration, whether it's in process, has been stalled for the time being, or has been cancelled. 
 
We don't know what's happening with Iron Gates the album. 
 
We know she has a fairly large collection of produced, album-ready songs that she cut from her two albums with Jack and that she cut from 'Blue Banisters.' Probably enough to make an album, maybe two. 
 
It's a truism that "most artists are poor judges of their own work," and, on occasion, that does seem to be the case with Lana regarding the songs placed on albums and those cut. 
 
I can understand, from her perspective, how having, say, 40 fully-recorded songs from different recent periods to choose from for a new album could be difficult to shape into something that she feels represents her as she is now. 
 
She might feel like she is no longer interested in any of those for the time being, and wants to write completely new songs for LDR9. I don't see LDR9 coming this year. But we can hope.

In Nectar of the Gods, we see she is lost and trying to find her way. The only instrument is guitar. In Living Legend, her legend helps her to find her way. There is guitar and piano. The guitar is still the wild lost Lana, piano sounds more stable and it is her living legend training her. In Cherry Blossom, she becomes the voice that gives advice and becomes someone else’s living legend. Now the only instrument is piano and that’s her.
