I always took it as...she likes the finer, material things (diamonds) that can give life texture as opposed to her man who prefers a more simple (earthy?) way of living. Also, for me, the crimson and clover line ties in nicely with “you’re in the yard, I light the fire” and “now we’re back in the garden...”. They help paint that atmosphere that makes VB so *chefs kiss*

one of the many things i love about the lyrics is the incorporation of basic, normal, day to day technology. it really makes her retrofuture concept richer... from the videocalls with her lover and father respectively in Venice Bitch and Hope to the live location/map sending in Happiness <3 
 
it's so refreshing because they're things we do and use every single day yet no one in music is singing about them

Cinnamon Girl sounds like a pink nuclear bomb, that's the best way I can describe it I don't know why.

i mean, let's not fool ourselves again. the grammy's will probably snub her like they've always done. they can keep handing out their awards to Edith Sheeran and the like. idc

There are NO FILLERS in this album. Every single solitary song is gorgeous. 
 
NFR should be nominated for album of the year in every music award there is, especially the Grammy's. 

Same. I Adored the Piano live version. But right now I've listened to the album version for 12 times. It's so dreamy and beautiful. I love it. Its perfect for NFR.

I just got wine drunk with my boyfriend (who isn’t a big Lana stan like me and hadn’t heard any of the tracks outside a couple of the singles), and we danced to the whole album on vinyl. He started crying during Love Song and stayed crying through Cinnamon Girl and said it felt like we were dancing at our wedding, and for that experience alone this album is 10/10 Lana’s best work.

Cinnamon I talked about in the previous post.
Start at 0:16. On "all the pills that you take" she's using mic 1. On "violet blue green red to keep me at arms length dont work" her vocals are layered but THE MAIN VOCAL is still with mic 1. Then on "you try to push me out" she comes back using a totally different type of mic, the quality of the vocal is different and it breaks the continuity of the track, sounds like a different room, different ambience.
I know it's not that big of a deal, but once you hear it you can't unhear it and everytime I hear this little things I'm reminded that Jack and Laura (the audio engineer) didn't make that big of an effort to make a PERFECT record, which is kinda inconsiderate to Lana. It's annoying.
