The Charlie's Angels song with Miley and Ariana was a completely unnecessary dilution of Lana's brand/image. The song is also crap. @@cognaclilac had it right as a 2006 ringtone

I'm sorry but Love Song is really underrated at this forum. It's such an INTIMATE song..the feelings are so HONEST and it feels so RAW.
Such a special song for me. The chorus is mindblowingly SOFT yet so PURE.
 
Like it's so so so personal and the production is really serene and beautiful. Such a perfect melody. I love Jack for giving us Love Song.

Another day of Lana ''fans'' getting together to pray she becomes a pop star again and trashing Jack's immaculate production because it isn't cheap, overblown and overproduced trash. A never ending circle jerk.
 
Hopefully after this new album they finally join Halsey's stan boards and leave us alone.
 

At the end of the day the record sounds like how Lana wanted it to sound. We've known since Ultraviolence that she has absolute creative control. Yes, Dan Auerbach pushed her, but at the end of the day its was her call, no one else's, and its hard to say how much head butting there even was. "There were moments when she was fighting me. I could sense that maybe she didn’t want to have anybody think she wasn’t in control" but he also said "Her demos were so good, her songs were so strong that I wanted to get my musicians in who I love and get my sound that I get here with her songs and that’s it. I didn’t want to mess it up." Its tiresome to go album cycle after cycle and hearing fans blame everyone around Lana for how her work comes out. "Chucks visuals suck," "Rick's production is bland," "Jack's production is messy" (and lol because occasionally you get "Born to Die was too polished" as well). Maybe Lana's work comes out exactly how she envisions it and you guys just don't like it? That is ok, but don't insult the people around her for it when they have track records with other people that prove they can produce good work.

Venice Bitch is amazing! Winter is over in Australia and we had a 30 degree day (Celsius), I was listening to the whole album, and it was all amazing. Venice Bitch is so nice in the afternoon when its warm. Also on afternoon drives. I could have a 30 minute version and would love it <3

I wish the greatest had more choruses and verses!! 

I hate to say that but I think the song is terrible. It still sounds to me like an ice cream truck on drugs   The video made me cringe, it looks so wrong to see the three together - it's just not working for me. Lana looks so grown up and classy compared to Miley and Ariana, it's just wrong on so many levels. I'll pretend that that song does not exist And am I the only one who is scared by Mileys eye make up?

Wow I didn’t realize how old this thread is. Anyway. About the whole “why did she live in a trailer park her parents/mother must have mistreated her or something” Lana moved into a trailer park after she got a $10,000 advance from a record label. She wasn’t destitute, it was a choice she had the liberty to make. Just a young artist wanting to experience a different sort of life in my opinion, remember she grew up wealthy and she probably yearned to see “the other side”. She elaborates quite a lot and makes up stories so it’s not really helpful to take her at her word or make assumptions of her based on her lyrics.
About the whole “why was she an alcoholic at 14”...I agree with the poster who says Lana was probably just dabbling in alcohol and partying like many young teen girls and began neglecting her school work, so her parents sent her to the more strict, regulated boarding school environment.
 
I think she’s closer to her father than her mother (based not on lyrics but on his public presence concerning her, his Instagram and Twitter accounts, congratulating her, times in public he’s called her a “genius” and commended her work, etc). I don’t think there’s anything to be concerned with there, most children are closer to one parent.
