Yall we need to be grateful she's doing so much right now. This woman seriously is doing everything she can to create more projects to share with us and expand her brand, even if it doesn't look like it with us. We can complain all we want about music videos being lackluster but FUCK what other artist out there is doing this much? Taylor Swift is doing a very similar thing, but she's at the point where she's re-releasing old music with new recordings. As much as I don't like TS, I can at least appreciate that she's working as hard as Lana is right now considering there's a fucking PANDEMIC GOING ON.... We've gotten a BOOK from Lana & 43 songs/tracks (poems included) at the same time and that doesn't even count all of this new album we're about to get PLUS there's an album of covers we know Lana was actually working on in November and another poetry collection still to come (she wanted it out earlier this year so I wouldn't be surprised if that drops soon....

i need some stronger instrumentals. cocc has good instrumentals but not great instrumentals. they're really good and the melodies are perfect but i want them to be fleshed out. i love that her voice is in the front of the songs but i need something like west coast where that guitar synth??? comes in towards the end and it's weeping against lana's voice and it's such a beautiful contrast from her voice and the dark wah wah sound behind the drums 
 
also can we have some kind of vocal layering like we used to get? i think only TJF had some but the vocals being layered behind the guitars during the bridge of Shades of Cool were phenomenal and the vocals from FMWHTTT being layered toward the end of UV was a choice I need more of. also!! the Barrie vocals during the ending of Brooklyn Baby!!! UGHHHHHH i go back to UV and it only makes me realize how BADLY i need someone to work with Lana who can evoke something so pleasing to pick apart again that the next layer you pull from a song is only scratching the surface

Lana obviously loved Bowie along with all the other greats like Lou Reed, Stevie, etc... but can we get something inspired by Bowie on this album? Like not just lyrically but like in terms of sound...? Please? If you're gonna do a stripped back album PLEASE do something similar to Hunky Dory or something!!!!!! it'd be lovely if she did something like the guitars on Man Who Sold The World particularly The Width of A Circle (speaking of which that's getting a whole ass release so I need to add that to my "to buy" list to go along with my Metrobolist vinyl) 
 
idk i just want something entirely different again. cocc felt like the little sister of NFR, almost too little... too little in the sense that it wasn't 1000% finished cooking entirely. like it could've used something extra on over half of the songs. it's a great album i like it, and i'm glad she's ready to put more music out there but i need to hear something that's more.... rock inspired or prog inspired, come on Jack you have the capabilities to use mellotron USE IT FOR FUCK SAKE
