Any information about what picture they used for the B-side? Because as of now, that's the ugliest picture disc I've seen in my entire life.

    True.
When you know the extravagance and creativity of Marina, this black and white portrait cooled me down and made all the songs dull.
The clips were beautiful, but without themes. Generic as possible.
She should have put on colors because to celebrate life and the positive it was pretty bland. Marina was beautiful but too much magazine cover, we know how much fun she can be!

L + F is not a bad album, just too naive and too far from what it always has been. She reminds me of a rich Californian who discovers life outside her golden bubble, I know she is not like that but the hollow texts made her a little tasteless.

She's so talented, she's made amazing albums. I believe in her. We have to encourage her, I think her next album will be much better than L + F (hoping that she tackles more imaginary and less real themes like politics, feminism because artists know nothing about it)

Story of my life with her ugly stuff/ merch recently
the funny thing is I used to skip most of her beautiful old merch even when I was a fan so I had to search after they’re sold out and buy them from other fans
and for that reason now I can’t skip anything which is sad cuz her merch recently is so freaking ugly
    And it’s overpriced
So funny that lana can make everything extra expensive even the cheap walmart stickers

I'd rather have something from that NK shoot w/ the white dress.
I love how her hair looks on there. But I'd take the wolf picture gladly

I may be wrong tho, can't remember the exact words.
I hope another picture disc is coming, w/ another cover. I won't be buying this one that soon- will end up buying it some time later tho

What actual proof we have of the next album? Except for the fact that we know she's writing it, has she ever said anything else?
I thought that with Man's World it meant that something was coming but 2 months have passed and we have 0 news. At this point I'm thinking it was a random single just to grab some $$$

Hey, so this popped up on her store:

    https://lanadelreystore.com/collections/all/products/lana-del-rey-2019-uk-tour-poster
I had tickets for the show in Amsterdam, so this is kinda traumatising
I kinda still want it though since I can at least remember the thought of seeing her live... Does anyone know anything about the size of this poster?
    xoxo
Also, not her US store selling the EU/UK poster

    LOVE IT!!!!

Honestly now I truly wish Lana, Charlie, and Chuck were all in the picture, and used that for the cover! It would have been super cute!

I was thinking how the white pearlescent would've gone so well with the alt cover, tying in with the white dress that shes wearing. Just bare white vinyls are boring af but make it white pearlescent and..

they rlly used this dumb ass cover up to avoid backlash for whitewashing flora..

Anyways, I rlly loved winx club as a kid but this show genuinely seems terrible. it gives off low budget british teen show vibes in a bad way. The outfits are also giving me very 2011 lifeless uninspired & generally ugly. The casting's also shit. The casting for Aisha and Bloom makes sense (even then, they did a terrible job styling them) but idk wtf happend with the rest..

Hi hi hi! I'm so excited! I grew up with the TV show and comic books. I love the Winx Club so much!
I'm watching the pilot right now and I'm gonna binge watch the rest this weekend, however I'm a little sceptical. I agree with most of what is said in this video below and I would hate for this to turn out to be a dark, Riverdale-esque kind of reboot. I hope they prove me wrong but the trailer wasn't cute. I really miss Flora and Tecna already.

Summoning all the gays & girls of Lanaboards, the time has come for us to finally discuss… THE WINX CLUB.

Netflix has just released a brand new show called Fate: The Winx Saga, which is basically a live-action remake of the famous girl power fantasy cartoon Winx Club. Yes, our favorite fairies are real people now! In six one hour episodes, Fate follows the life of fairies with magical powers who attend Alfea and fight evil as they navigate through love & friendship.

I was very excited for this because Winx raised me up and turned me gay back in the late 2000s when waking up every morning to catch the newest episode was my reason to live. Sadly, when Nickelodeon took over the show around 2010, it lost all of its quality and depth and turned into this circus show for 5 year old children. That’s why Fate has been marketed as a young adult series, so I take it this is their attempt to draw back the older audiences who grew up with the original show.

So, here’s the main cast: (from left to right: Stella, Terra, Bloom, Musa, Aisha)

The main character Bloom is played by Abigail Cowen, whom you might recognize from Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Sadly, our girls Flora & Tecna got dropped out of the lineup (I guess budget cuts!!). Rip tho… However, this new girl Terra seems to be a fairy of nature (and she even says Flora is her cousin), so at least we got that. No sight of Tecna tho. Specialists are there too and will surely provide us with some romance storylines. As for the villains, there’s this girl Beatrix who’s said to resemble the original Trix witches.

So, any fans of the original show out there? Are you planning to or did you check out Fate and what are your thoughts & feelings? Let’s gossip!

Just cause he played her 12 years ago doesn’t mean she still has to hate him today lol. They were barely adults when that song was written.

I had such a glorious walk listening to this album last night. It's so good and sets up Lana's journey as an artist so well. The production is a lot more over-the-top than the rest of her work and she leans into a bit of a caricature at times, but it's all very deliberate and clever.

It's funny (sad) that this wasn't well received by a lot of critics despite being such a knockout debut. I don't even think it's that this album was ahead of its time. I think regardless of when this was released the music industry wouldn't have been ready for Lana. It was her "debut album" but as we know from all her leaked materials she already had an insane amount of fully realized tracks where she explored the darkest and strangest parts of her mind. She blends pop music, dark themes, and evocative imagery so well here and no one knew what to do with her. Critics saying that she must have been a product of the industry because she came out fully formed already is so dumb, as if an artist can't take the time to create something special before releasing it to the world?

I've always liked This Is What Makes Us Girls but I've never given it enough credit as the narrative ending to the record, I guess because I always listen to the album with the bonus tracks so it doesn't feel like the conclusion, but now I see that it really is. It's like she's saying goodbye to that more immature persona she inhabits throughout the album and knows it's time to move on to new growth. Even though the song jumps back to a younger Lana, I feel like that experience of leaving those friends behind is a reflection of where she's at by the end of the album and is ready to go through a similar process with herself and the life she's been living.

Then comes Paradise, which almost seems like a death and rebirth of the Lana we got to know in Born To Die, leading us seamlessly into Ultraviolence where she's reached a new level of her confidence and maturity and there's no turning back from there. I know there are people that want Lana to return to Born To Die's level of production but I personally am not one of them and I can't really imagine her doing so at this point. I feel like Born To Die was meant to be an isolated sound and experience in some ways, which makes sense given the title and concept of the whole album. Her character here is always walking a fine line between fun and danger, always on the edge and fantasizing about death, even desperately asking for it, but that's not a sustainable mindset. By the end of Born to Die, and especially Paradise, she's put that person behind her and she's grown into a new phase of her life and her artistry. Of course she's continued to explore dark themes her entire career, but she's left behind the teenaged mentality that she explores in Born To Die, and leaving this style in the past only further strengthens both this album and her entire storytelling journey to me.
