The only good thing I have to say about the remix is I kind of like how the two of them sound singing the chorus together. Other than that... well, it’s all already been said in this thread. 
 
I understand the like... symbolism? Of having Pussy Riot do the remix but if this is the sound she was going for, I feel like Grimes would’ve been the perfect fit. IIRC Grimes was commenting on marina’s announcements about PTP as well so I feel like it wouldn’t have been impossible. She could’ve even changed up the song instead of... whatever that was. Super disappointing to see her branching out and working with different artists and getting stuff like this. 
 
Hopefully if there’s a third single (and subsequent remix) it’ll be someone that actually fits. Still excited for the album tho.

I'm honestly really into the idea of her doing remixes with different artists, especially bc there's no features on the album itself. But the collabs have been kind of obscure and honestly,,,.,. really not good. There's so much potential there to get a new/relevant/interesting artist on some of her tracks, but instead we got "cum on your face like pow pow??" Not into it

I'm OBSESSED with the album cover and really hopeful for a solid set of 10 tracks. My only complaint (not even though) is that the PTP single cover kinda ate the album cover right up. They're both amazing but I sooo much prefer the PTP single cover. But I'm so glad my sis is back and SERVING.... the in your face sociopolitical lyrics work so much better than songs like To Be Human (in my opinion )

I think the SJW energy is done far better than any other artist I can think of rn. And I'm glad she chooses to express it in her music rather than posting statuses on social media that she thinks will sound woke but just sound completely problematic. Marina holds herself well and I'm glad she isn't censoring herself. 
I really admire her for that. She gives me Shirley Manson (from Garbage) energy sometimes! 

I've always admired MARINA's art direction because of its coherence so I definitely had to do this edit.

people (including myself, I’m people) were really attached to the image of Marina and The Diamonds up until FROOT which was that of a very cheeky, messy but lovable, shady at times, very talented singer songwriter who made fun of youth culture while at the same time partaking in it and curated her project with the utmost precision from the sound to the visuals to the songs everything 
 
L+F was a HUGE paradigm shift cause she dropped EVERYTHING she had been doing and did a 180 turn on us
No more interesting visuals, no more curated tracklist (she admitted putting together the album after it was already over and coming up with the concept of love + fear last minute which immensely backfired), no more interesting songs (literally nobody outside of the stans remembers Love + Fear or a song on the album), the production is very lacking, boring and generic and the humour is gone
 
now you CAN and should like the song if you want!!! I’m not here to tell anybody what to like and what not to like
 
BUT I think it’s impossible not to acknowledge that a huge part of Marina’s artistry was gone with L+F, and basically everybody noticed that. The reviews all say it’s underwhelming and fans alike are not particularly amazed by it. In fact she went as far as to fire her own manager, which was on maternity leave cause she had just had a baby, cause the album underperformed and she wasn’t pleased.
 
also I think it’s very interesting and it speaks to what actually Marina feels about the album that not even a year after L+F was released she completely dropped the ball while FROOT as an era lasted for well over 3 years, and the same goes for EH (TFJ had a much shorter run but she wasn’t known back then so it’s part of the reason why)
 
but anyway i really suggest you check out her earlier work cause it’s objectively better musically speaking 
 
EDIT: i do wanna stress LIKE LOVE + FEAR IF YOU WANT!!! I am well past “hating” on it I just answered a question that I feel I’m particularly apt to answer cause I was one of the people who criticized her the most and it’s what the post was about

i can't believe we won't experience her music the way she wanted us to experience it anymore... from now on it's just another leaks and maybe some posthumous releases and then it just *stops* there... even if we get to hear any of her unreleased albums it just won't be controlled by her and it's truly heartbreaking because we all know what a perfectionist she was.

This is heartbreaking. Sophie completely redefined for me what pop and electronic music can be. Product was the soundtrack of my high school years. This is such a devastating loss, and may she rest in power.
