I second this, Lana can't take criticism. Same reason why she said she only surrounded herself by people like Rick who would say yes to everything she wanted and why she turned off instagram comments.

Not saying she's on the level of Kate Bush or Leonard Cohen with her lyrics. But in this current era of shit, she's a goddess!

The thing with Lana is that she would actually answer A LOT of questions about her album and music if people would just fucking ask her all the right things, but nobody ever does. Lana usually seems quite generous when confronted with questions but all the dumb twinks do when they meet her is scream, take a picture and talk about their fav song serial killer. Idiots

i just rewatched her december 30th IG livestream. that really is the last thing she really did to update her fans huh...

Imagine all the wild stuff we could know if she was interviewed more frequently. A thing I always liked about her is how lenient she is with information about music, like back in the paradise era she just casually revealed the song title for gods and monsters and also sang the early concept of young and beautiful for that one interviewer.

I still have a tiny glimmer of hope that Cinnamon and IYC will be amazing in every single way.
With Cinnamon it's kinda easy to say how the song will progress. It's like the Cherry of the NFR era. Safe, fun and sexy. But IYC is a mystery because it can go so many ways and we don't even know it yet. Could be a banger, could progress into a really sad tune, who knows!
As for HTD, I would like to know how it differs from the live performance she did, but overall I'm not too excited for it. Same goes from HIAB.

So she has mentioned Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Beetles vibes for the album and also used "folk-y" to describe it. So far, I'm thinking more of the piano in that can be heard in every song, but I really hope they'll come through with some guitars. I really hope so much that the album will be worth the wait - if not, I'm sure fans will trash it more than they otherwise would have.

I'm listening to Zane Lowe's interview again, from September. Why did I miss that she said she might have the album finished by Labour Day (meaning May September! <-- according to Wiki But I'm glad she said in December that the album is done, otherwise we might have been forced to wait longer..!) and that it has a Sgt. Pepper-The Beetles vibe?? Around 12 and 15 minutes in case anyone wants to hear.

Got around to watching some of the buku videos.. why does she pretend like she doesn't know how to sing anymore?? Venice Bitch was alright but half hearted, she just kinda went through the motions with MAC. Could barely hear her during BTD, but she actually sang during Cherry. Before VB I noticed she had said something like "We hope to come back and play the new stuff for you soon." Dunno if that was mentioned here.

She didn't change the name of the poetry book. Land of 1000 fires is the title of one of the poems.

At this point, in order not to lose our sanity, we better believe NFR will be out at the end of summer, and enjoy the rest of our lives. 
If it's sooner, I will be more than enchanted. But I don't expect real big news for the album in April. 
The lead will probably drop in June if it's en end-of-summer release. She probably wants the poetry book released first. 
Right now, the singles being released from upcoming albums are all records coming in April or May. And we have yet to see the lead of NFR. June is really the soonest we will get the damn thing, though that record is really not summery at all to me.
