Why do you all keep saying we've heard the whole album? 1. The snippets she posted were 30 seconds to a minute maximum 2. They were low quality, and hearing songs in high quality freshens everything up, and 3. Did any of you expect Venice Bitch to be a nine minute progressive track before it was revealed? 
 
I genuinely think we've only scratched the surface with this record.

I love the cover

The cover honestly could have been executed better, like the font is ass no matter how much I squint, but I really do like the concept, and seeing the tracklist in its proper order has me thinking that the narrative of the record is more apparent. Her best ablum incoming, ladies. Buckle up.

Although I've never felt Lana's put up a front (her music has always felt authentic) this feels extra Lana. I love that she's embracing everything about the sound and over-the-top-Americana image she's created. So excited (to hear the final version of the BAR bridge) for this album.

Anyway, I’m excited to see the lengths tomorrow. I hope VB is 20 mins long now and features electric guitar and drums and a drop after she sings “jealous of your love”

I think you rats should stop acting so entitled, especially when you know very well that this could be the album cover. You definitely are able to dislike the cover, but the dramatics are obnoxious.

i know tg and fiily are going to be fucking amazing considering they seem to be getting a very creative themed music video. i feel the surf rock in my veins already.

lyrically, it’s great! it’s well-written in that way. but the melody is so bland. it makes me sleepy.

Update: I just re-checked and she shot this in February, which means this is the cover he wanted her to shoot. So don’t worry you can still hate him! Xoxoxoxo

I’m glad she shot this cover. This album deserves an over the top cover that’s campy. On top of that it also has a concept and isn’t just her standing by a car looking at a camera like a lot of people wanted. The pained sky, the fire in the back, the american flag behind her, her holding this man, her reaching out to us, the 60s comic book text, it all fits. It’s supposed to be over the top and kinda tacky, it’s camp. This album’s called ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell!’, it has a 10 minute long song, it has a song with a title that’s 16 words long. A regular boring cover wouldn’t be right.

I'm usually with the consensus on here, but I have to disagree. The cover suits the lyrics. The comic book font + neon outfit + American flag is a summary of her and this album. She's always been enamored with the past, she's all about Americana, and her kitsch taste (which makes us all cringe at times) is right in your face. The album will literally end with a song with the lyrics...

She's literally reaching out her hand just as she mentions it in Mariners Apartment Complex (I thought that was obvious lmao), Cali's in the background because for some reason this woman is obsessed with the landscape/history of it. Venice Bitch was inspired by it and she included her cover of Doin' Time which mentions Long Beach? The cities are on fire because you know this woman is into chaos and she's corny like that. The sky's painted and I think that's obvious what that refers to. It's a collage of what this album is about and I love it. I'm also starting to notice the cohesion in the lyrics relistening to the songs and snippets...

then she has a song that comes later on the tracklist called, "Fuck It, I Love You!" Going by the titles, she fantasizes about a happy future (How to Disappear), they find solace temporarily {?}(California), then reality sets in and she realizes she can't change him (The Next Best American Record) and are we surprised? I'm ready for the damn album!

omg wow i don’t listen to tool, but my boyfriend loves them. so i think it’s great that him and i get to be fed by our favorite artists with new albums on the same day!
