Lana can be messy, and that might come across as unprofessional sometimes, it's true. But there's no denying she's hardworking.

She's always working on new projects, and that might be the reason behind her "laziness". While there might be a gap between an album and another, she always starts working on a different project, as soon as she finishes the other, or sometimes even works on both (or more) projects at the same time. Hence, the disconnection and why she moves onto the new era, without even finishing it, so quickly.
It's understandable, and at the same time confusing for the fans. I get that.

It can be frustrating, yeah. I get frustrated too, after all we're spoiled little brats. But if we have that many material, it's because she never stops working. Her 200+ catalogue of unreleased songs, plus 7 (official) albums in only 10 years should give that away easily.

What makes me happy, is to know she's talented, so I don't have to worry if I can't connect with her future projects as much as I did with her past. I know there will be at least one song I'll love, or perhaps her visuals... or even her vision of the project.

Just because we don't get to witness it too often, it doesn't mean she's not passionate anymore

I will add that some of the most prolific artists of previous decades have released albums almost on a yearly basis. That's not something that happens anymore, but back in the 60s and 70s, albums were coming out a lot more often than every few years. The music industry changed over the years and publishers started to milk single album releases much more which pushed full releases further apart.

Look at releases from Fleetwood Mac, Cher and Linda Ronstadt in the 70s; full albums came out every single year. Even Madonna's first 2 albums came out a year apart, but then you start to see the change as her releases started to spread themselves further apart.

My whole point is, Lana releasing albums as often as she has recently is a nice harkening back to album releases of yesteryear and I'm all here for it !!

    We're getting fed ??

Even if the rollout of an album or project is messy, I know Lana put a lot of heart and time into creating her albums etc

i would rather have an album envisioned, written, worked on first handily by an artist like Lana with a rocky promo rollout than something artificial and solely for the money from an artist that has a promo intense rollout

we literally are fed almost every year, she’s all about the music and art, the rest (videos, promo, etc) comes second

she’s got another album coming out this year AND confirmed she’s working with mike dean currently MAYBE for another project. She doesn’t stop!

But love the drama y’all keep it going

I cannnnnt, last week it was a pop folk COCC-like album, then this website said it was going to be a slowcore synth heavy meditation, then a psychedelic soft rock effort thanks to Ms. Dean's input, and now with that same Ms Dean input it's turned into a trap pop diss album about the industry which Jack hasn't touched - and we've only heard ONE snippet with what is very obviously Jack's piano (and maybe Ms Dean's synths)......................

IMO the best rollout for COCC would’ve been this:
Release White Dress as the lead single around November: White Dress is objectively a great song and critics would’ve loved it. It would’ve been a great way to promote this albums sound. Releasing LMLYLW was a mistake as it’s not an outstanding song and was not really a great material to grab the attention of the GP.

Then release TJF around January with a great video and send it to radios and playlists. Tulsa could’ve easily become a hit and that would've gave COCC the streamings it needed.

Lastly release title track 1-2 weeks before the album release as one last promo.

COCC did really well on pure because of the endless vinyl versions  that her hardcore fans bought. We can now see how it’s starting to go down on the lists as the people who wanted the vinyls already got them and now COCC sales are depending on streamings which it lacks.

Sincerely, what annoys me the most is her posting a snippet of the song and video (which are clearly done) and she is unable to provide a date.

I blame everyone for not doing anything with TJF!!! And Wild at Heart honestly. And DBJAG. And the fact Yosemite was paid dust is also a crime. But anyways lol…

Yes chem did great physically in US and UK. I never really understood that Rolling Stone thing either. If it indeed did 98k that’s actually amazing but I just go by what Billboard said since they’re the ones who do the charts and reporting I guess.

Nonetheless I think first week in US Chem only translated 20some thousand sales via streams and that’s tragic when there are other artists who sell nothing physically but do over 100k from streaming alone. Yes a lot of that is from having singles and playlisting. But if her team does a better job at promo and just some more playlisting (the singles did Indeed have some I’ll say that) then she could at least as a whole album steam better even without singles and have way better sales from streaming. I think forcing her to do a digital and CD only album would help accomplish that is all I’m suggesting!

I think its highly likely that Blue Banisters will comprise of songs that Lana worked on with Jack and maybe another producer, but we know now that shes currently working with Mike Dean!

That said, I think that Blue Banisters (the song) is one she worked on with Jack, since it seems its already finished.

I'm still wondering about RCS, though, and what happened to make her change it in between March 20th and either April 10th (the first post about BB) or the day she actually announced BB as an album title....I wonder if it had something to do with working with Mike Dean
