She still has it in her to make a full upbeat album full of bops but with how fast she writes I guess we'll have a couple more albums in this folky headspace she's in right now (Not that I'm complaining)

Bestie I think you’re great but you never have a nice thing to say about any artist you follow

to me it sounds like a dream pop tune, something similar to music to watch boys to or saviour, not necessarily a ballad

I re-created the original concept of the Ultraviolence video. As most of us know, the footage for the "Freak" music video was just re-used from what Lana shoot for the title track of her second album.  The way it was cut made it seem like they didn't even really try anything else besides just putting the new Honeymoon track over it, as it didn't take too much effort to sync Ultraviolence with the footage. I really wanted to do this, because the two or three fan made cuts that are on Youtube are not really going well with the beat of the music, and I preferred this arrangement of the footage. Hope you guys like it, let me know what you think.

That's it. That's the UV music video.
Father John Misty looks so much like Jim Morrison here. Swoon.
Next, someone has to do the video for BAR that was used in White Mustang.

    Thanks a lot

I might try the Bar video in the future.

Hopefully one day we get to see the scrapped scenes with her lip syncing w the track

Except BAR MV was never reused for WM tho. The MV itself was done for both songs, and you have BTS to prove that. Lana probably was like “umm, not sure if I’ll scrap this song so this will be either for BAR or WM”. But yeah, I’m pretty sure the rest is like 99% “confirmed”. It just makes sense

Not 100% sure if this was made for UV but some people theorize that "Jim" and "cult leader" references Jim Jones and the kool aid in the video references the Jonestown massacre/cult. Father John Misty also looks like Charles Manson here, which is fitting for the cult imagery. The ending of the video with them in the water is from Neil Krug's Pale Fire photoshoot, which was from the UV era. It kinda just makes more sense compared to it being used for Freak. Also Lana seems to have a thing for reusing music videos for later songs (like the BAR MV being used for White Mustang)

Same. And the album booklet made it even more beautiful for me.

"Last song I wrote for the album. My brother had been in a car accident when I was in NYC, and his head injury was making him angry. Needed to tell him I loved him, and it'd all be okay."

    Little brother
    I think you're an angel
    See your silver
    chain levitate
    When you're kick-flipping
    Baby boy, you're
    super cool
    I know you're scared
    So was I
But all will be revealed in time

    ?

I still remember the accident. I live somewhat near Lorde's childhood home and played football w Angelo at high school; he was skating and got hit by a car. I was out nearby delivering my sister's papers at the time and my father and (other) sister saw him, they described it as 'the most heartbreaking thing ever' watching Sonja come running down the road crying, I'm glad he's okay now.

Oceanic Feeling gets better each listen  I might be becoming slightly obsessed with that track

been listening to the album on repeat for the past few days and i gotta say- i really like it
on my first listen i really wasn’t that impressed and i think think the reasoning for this might be the order of the tracklist. it goes up and down all the time. i feel like she should’ve put all the “upbeat” songs together in the beginning and then let it simmer down towards the end. i really don’t know if there is a reasoning behind the tracklisting, there’s got to be- i mean it’s lorde we’re talking here!
the path and oceanic feeling are both such great openers/endings though. there are so many exciting parts but there really isn’t a big build up to be found anywhere (once again, not a bad thing!) the rest is just a bit messy. that little speech in secrets, i think it’s by robyn, is so so so sweet. man with the axe’s production in the end is so melancholic. that dark turn in fallen fruit is SO lorde. love the message of leader of a new regime.

it’s a very mellow album and i don’t think it’s a bad thing. i’ve been falling asleep to this record a lot- so peaceful, definitely recommend!

overall, i think this album is very much lorde- just a side we haven’t seen before. a very peaceful and toned down album but overall i really love it. cannot wait to see what coming experiences this album will be the soundtrack to.

I don't care what anyone says, critics can fuck off, I LOVE this album I swear it took me by surprise
I love it so much, Fallen Fruit is giving Bury the Hatchett's The Cranberries and The Man with the Axe is giving early Sia and I'm living for it  Hold No Grudge and Mood Ring are incredible, top tier in the album for me. I even enjoy the title track now
I would only add a little more production to Stoned, Helen of Troy (I needed that to build up and explode in an amazing outro), Dominoes and Big Star, removed the outro from Secrets and there you have, AOTY.
It's making it onto my top 10 albums of the year anyways

She is giving Sky with these "hey new song coming!", just followed by another "new music soon!" and then again, and again...
At least it hasn't been 8 years

Why do people like you assume that people are fat only because they're lazy pigs? Dude what if she has an illness or something? Are you okay? Quick tip: when someone becomes overweight in an year or less it's most likely because of medical reasons. Hopefully you or someone close to you doesn't become overweight and gets body shamed by judgemental assholes.

Also I love how people are so hypocritical these days. So, Lana's promoting unhealthy lifestyles just now, but when she smoked in music videos it was cool, right? Recently smoking became uncool and many people are shamed for it but at the same time it's wrong to shame drug users and stoners? Lana is overweight but who cares, she still looks healthy. She had an ED in her BTD era but since her body looked conventionally attractive who cares about her health. Hypocrites.

She's not obliged to live her life in any type of way because you have weird expectations of her. I really don't get why you'd feel the need to post this.

    Cringe alert:

I used to dislike Lana in middle school when she became popular because her music was too 'boring' for my taste that got used to Rihanna, Katy, Gaga, JB, Selena Gomez, Kesha and d*bstep (for the love of God). I was literally like "Why tf are people obsessed with this boring botched bitch?". Me from 2021 would say to myself from 2012 something like "BITCH YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT GOOD MUSIC! THE MUSIC YOU LISTEN TO WILL BE IRRELEVANT IN 5 YEARS. Also, take off those ridiculous galaxy leggings".
