Y'all can say that Love Song is the weakest song on the album or that it is lyrically just Lanas most used words but it is still so beautiful and I want it as my wedding song!!!

also completely unrelated, but my ex boyfriends sister worked in a shop on buchanan street selling scottish fashion and said she came in before her gig in 2017. god i wish that were me.

if you look up articles from lana being in scotland, they’re always so lovely. she’s always really sweet with her scottish fans and seems to really appreciate the city of glasgow. also the articles are hilarious.

    I love everything you wrote.

Musically speaking I would love something that has a classic feel to it - maybe a mix of Honeymoon and ‘Me & Mr. Jones’ by Amy Winehouse with some more dreamy guitars like the instrumentation of the Patent Leather Do-Over Instagram vid.

I would love a pearlescent white or amber vinyl as well! I wouldn’t even mind a nice lavender/lilac shade as well. So exciting!

Paradise's cover was amazing. like, I guess some call it a bit edited, and I can see that, but it was done, well(?). I'd wanna see Flaunt Mag/Slim Aarons. I forgot the other reference I made. commentary YES. timelessness too, but still have it fresh?

I'd wanna talk more ideas, but really right now, it'd be great if she shared something directly about the record soon, so we can piece things if just a little better

Made another album cover LOL. Hope this one is close to what we actually get! Something Slim Aarons-inspired with a blonde Lana of course

    1. Ultraviolence/Honeymoon (can't decide, really Lana's peak)
    2. NFR
    And that's the TEA.

I see many of you saying that NFR is her most mainstream and commercial album when the whole BTD era and album were so so staged, so mainstream, so pop. And I'm not saying it in negative way, but that's facts. BTD is iconic and a good debut album but It's overrated for obvious reasons, it had a huge impact. LFL, well, exists but it gave us many classics. Paradise is an EP. And then Ultraviolence, Honeymoon and NFR are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

NFR really is a funny one. I find the the difference between NFR and Lana's other albums is kinda like the difference between watching Bob Ross do The Joy of Painting and watching something like Breaking Bad. NFR is almost like... slice of life, humble, background-ish music.... sorta like when you watch The Joy of Painting. It makes you feel happy and content and it's nice for sure. But then you put on Breaking Bad and it's a whole other vibe, you're on the edge of your seat, it's inspiring almost, it's exhilarating. That's like Lana's other albums to me... they conjure up such vivid imagery and make me feel stuff.

Don't get me wrong - there's a WHOLE lot of emotion in NFR, but it's a different kind of emotion. Pre-NFR Lana is Saturday night, NFR is Sunday afternoon. It's an album I listen to SO much when I'm cleaning, on the train, and so on, but don't actively reach for if someone's like "play something!" whereas I might with Ultraviolence, Honeymoon, Born To Die, even Lust For Life.

It's funny though cause I would rank NFR as my second fav album (after UV), but it's like a different kind of enjoyment.

I find it kind of difficult to rank her albums, although I can say I enjoy lfl the least. The thing is it depends on my mood, so I’m kind of glad she released Norman because if I’m feeling strangely optimistic or hopeful Norman is a beautiful listen. I enjoy it for what it is and I’m glad it got the praise, Lana really deserved that.

Say whatever you want but this album is one of her best. Top 3 with Ultraviolence and Honeymoon, a Lana classic by this time. What a hell of an album, love it and still loving after 1 year.

Thought it would be cool to delve into her ancestry a little bit. I'm surprised to find out she has a family member called Violet (do you think that's why she named her poetry book 'Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass'?)

Anyways, here's a site that has a lot of info on her ancestry/ethnicity but I'll copy-paste here in case some of ya'll can't reach the site: https://ethnicelebs.com/lana-del-rey
