personally I only want songs that were crafted with ‘Lasso’ in mind on the album. Ever since LFL she’s tacked on songs that she likes, even if it doesn’t fit the albums, and it’s caused every album since to be a more mixed bags of sounds

In a sense, I would think Peck had better sense than to reintroduce it to the public, especially the American public, which already has so many backward ideas about homosexuality. But yes, I guess he's reclaiming it and knows it's tongue-in-cheek, and will perhaps stir controversy, especially if it were to become a hit of some kind. It is a relief to know he didn't write it and didn't think up those lyrics himself.

Personally I kinda like an openly gay singer covering it to kind of ‘take back’ the message of it! But I do agree it is a bit dated 
 
I love how Lana called out the industry ‘going country’ and now everyone from Beyoncé to Yung Gravy is doing it 

That's great to know--I didn't know that, as it sounds in some ways very much in the Peck tradition. It's funny and cute, but in a sense, it's a shame that it's out there, because it just reinforces a lot of incorrect ideas about homosexuality. Thank you.

also this started as a joke in my head but the more i think about it it actually lowkey kinda makes sense because she's been wanting to be back in her vulnerable, toxic relationship era 
 
"you lassoed me daddy, tied me down to the bed. your truck drove away, you left me for dead" would be iconic lyrics to be so honest and we could get an album cover where she's tied to a railroad in the desert with a train in the background coming to run her over like an old school western. it fits with the vehicle theme (never used a train on a cover) and fits question for the culture from the last 3-4 years

I think so, too, as these times (finally, luckily) seem to be over in general, but I also feel like September is realistic. She's just announced it, without starting a pre-sale. In the last years I usually preordered vinyls so many months ahead of release date, now it's like 2 months max. for any artist. I hope Lana won't be an exception, I'm tired of paying for stuff arriving 6 months later.

LFL I don’t blame her, because Love leaked super early and the album wasn’t even ready for yet. NFR was mentioned in September of 2018, and didn’t released until August 2019, COTCC was announced in May 2020 and ended up releasing March 2021, both almost a year later. BB had multiple release dates and a lot of silence, and was out 6 months later. 
 
Ocean I think is the almost perfect scenario. Announced something was happening and then released the first single with preorder. Granted even THAT ended up getting delayed, so it makes sense they aren’t announcing Lasso yet because this far out they probably don’t even know when it’s coming

Tbh I don’t care or mind if it’s delayed. Music so far this year has been SO solid that I’m not itching for new Lana. If she wants to take time to perfect the album, she absolutely should.
 
I love how she has really fleshed out her look/aesthetic. This is the first time in YEARS that she actually looks like the music she is about to release. 
 
my only hope for this era is an album trailer. I know a lot of artists don’t really do them anymore, but her album trailers have ALWAYS been next level, and she had big ideas for the Ocean one before the robbery. This album being her first ‘concept’ album in years deserves a world building album trailer

I still have hopes of having Lasso this fall. She unofficially announced it early enough to be realistic and she's been working on it for a long time:
 
- According to her she has been working on it with Jack for the past 4 (?) years.
I guess after or while making Norman and Chemtrails she had some "country" songs she wanted to use eventually and since Jack's security is tight not even insiders knew anything (they usually get stuff after it's submitted to labels and distributed).
 
- Then BB happened so it was pushed. Right after BB she started writing with other people like her bf Mike and continued that route for Ocean but... she wanted to finish it at last  so:
 
- We got the "I hope you guys love country" IG story in the summer of 2022... even before announcing anything from Ocean (but right when OB was practically done with only CN left so she resumed the country work right after it)
 
- She was in the studio multiple times that spring according to Jack and she also had some sessions in Alabama and I think someone there confirmed she recorded a couple of tracks. 
 
- A (probably) finished song in February. She usually teases new stuff from the studio while recording or in her car but Henry was uploaded as a proper studio version snippet so the Luke sessions were not in a really early state. 
 
So yeah I feel like it's realistic that there's a finished album and that it was already submitted so it's being pressed right now.
The actual vinyl is what takes time so she didn't even need to have any visuals ready at that point.
And since she was going to submit the whole thing around March she could predict a September date cause she probably already discussed it with her label 
 
Of course it's Lana so she could be tweaking the tracklist at this exact moment and we're getting a 2025 spring album instead and that's fine either way I guess

Let’s be real the people who saw her probably have no idea. She mentioned it to a room full of Grammy people and then Jack talked about it once 3 months ago 
 
Granted, they could do what that one lady at Waffle House did and just ask causally about it, but I feel like if I saw her out and about like that asking about her job wouldn’t be on my top list tbh

I feel like this outfit & look shows how tiny she is in real life somehow lol
its not about weight I don't mean that at all.
I just kinda always pictured her to tower over me because I'm only 5'3. idk. I think maybe it's because shes famous and I idolize her.
but when I saw her in the pit up close for the first time when she walked out I thought to myself "why is her head so tiny" LMAO
not in a weird way, she is flawless to me... but it was just shocking idk! its not that I thought everything about her would be "big" idk what I thought exactly.... but she is a very petite small person and her face is so small and her features are so dainty :') idk for some reason I just think it really translates in these photos!
