Oh how I’ve missed reading everyone’s speculation and collective freak outs since BB release . I truly love this place. Manifesting a surfy, psychedelic, witchy, synth heavy, Mike Dean / Emile / Jack produced LDR9 with an early June release date. Lana always has and always will be summertime music to me

I have a feeling Lana wanted to lay extra low with Blue Banisters because it's such a personal record, but soon she'll be coming back to change the music industry once again

chemtrails over the country club is one of her best songs ever. everything in it is so delicate, so pristine, so carefully crafted. the intro in the music video is pure bliss and introduces the song perfectly, when she starts singing i literally ascend. the violin, the harmonica, the layered vocals, i have no words

After some good rankings Chemtrails climbed up to 25 in the year end list aggregate:

It's not so bad, not far behind Billie and Adele and way ahead of Lorde and Taylor or others.

for me it has always been the case that honeymoon is the deeper dimension of born to die. it's slower, more intense, on no other album is the essence of her music as clear as here.

I’ve been thinking about this record so much lately, and how its entire composition would be so important in the years to come. Lyrically, God Knows I Tried and Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood are, in a way, alternative responses of some of the tracks on Blue Banisters that address public relations. That sentiment is portrayed so implicitly but powerfully on Honeymoon.
It’s truly her in album form and is very much a portrait that is diaristic as it is stylized. Forever my favourite <3

What I can say about NFR at this point is:
The fact that this album still literally moves the sea, the winds, the oceanic salty air, the seaside apartment complex, the whole "Long Beach" atmosphere, the whole surf culture lifestyle, etc to where i'm living now everytime i play it is so madly surreal.
Like, I feel like I'm breathing California air despite being depressed in my room all day long. It's like Lana does have wirchcraft for real, its crazy.

I would do anything to go back to the pre-release of this album. It was such a magical time. Listening to the “Cinnamon” and HIAB snippets on repeat, the excitement of finding out TNBAR was going to be included, hearing Hope for the first time. NFR clicked instantly first listen. Every single track. Which is really rare for me with most albums. I’ll never understand how Lana does it. Her vocals and writing are beyond amazing and this album proves it.
I remember every morning listening to MAC on the way to school then coming home and practicing it on piano. It was the only song I listened to for weeks. What a perfect album.

Happy second anniversary to the Norman video!
Something about this video means quite a lot to me, but I can't quite say what it is. The simplicity and home-made quality of it all creates for a calm experience that I personally keep coming back to. I remember watching this on sad and happy days, lazy days and busy days, days where I felt confident than ever and days where I completely just felt nothing. It has instantly became one of my favorites, and It's one for all occasions. ❤️

I love that song too I think it’s so sweet and pure and honest and stream of consciousness writing style and I love it!
