Well everyone, we’re in the final stretch.. just a little over 24 hours now until the album is released and we say goodbye to this monstrosity of a Pre-Release Thread and move on to the Post-Release! I couldn’t be more ecstatic that the day is finally arriving. I had my first listen of the record today at the listening event, and I’m so excited for my second listen. Off to sleep now - my last sleep before release time!

Holding out for the listening party for a cute preview, then the release day for a proper first listen. This has been fucking tough, especially rn

The way so many of y'all are having your first listen out of order that's so sacrilegious y'all make me SICK! 

I know on here YTH can be seen as the scarlet letter of tastelessness, but I truly love it—it’s the *atmosphere* of the song that gets me! it feels so ethereal, with a sprinkle of 80s Fleetwood Mac a lá Tango in the Night but obviously cinematic Lana style. Sure, she’s had better, more visceral lyrics. But I truly love YTH and would be ECSTATIC to finally get to scrobble it 😭😭😭 I wish we had more songs from her with that kind of instrumental, the climbing cyclical progression and steel guitar 

Ok it’s obvious some of u guys just don’t wanna be seen as “locals” bc yes to heaven is literally a good song it’s not my favorite unreleased but it’s not BAD 

People who aren't listening to leaks: I admire your willpower, you're doing amazing. Don't give in and listen to these muffled low quality leaks like I am. You're gonna love it

Why am I seeing so many negative comments about The Grants on Instagram? I’m waiting for the album release and I don’t know what to expect anymore

wrong song but doesn't matter cause every song is a callback to another on this album like a loop  everything references each other the cohesion is mad like

It's an orchestral ballad with gospel inspired vocals. Listeners who like this sort of vocal driven song will probably enjoy it, but other people might find it boring, hence the variety of opinions

The streets are saying Candy Necklace features the grimy, heavy, original version of Love Song with the “in the cock in the cock in the cockpit I’m your pilot” lyrics 

I actually don't want this to leak anymore, we're so close to the official release and it would be nice if this was the first album to avoid a full leak before it drops
