Wow, so many great news. I hope she will confirm everything today.
So she's making up for the canceled Cocctober last year by giving us Banistober this year ?

I don't mind the leaks on the album as long as they contribute to the story. If she prefers giving us every 6 months a new album with half leaked and half unheard that tells a complete story instead of one compilation of 25 random leaks, I'm all up for it.

I think the verses of Nectar of gods are perfect but I hope the chorus is reworked. I love the song but always though the chorus was weak, using typical Lana elements that didn't tell anything (wild and crazy, colour blue...). It wouldn't live up to it's new name or to the lyrical quality of the songs we've heard so far.

also wanted to say that when she said Yosemite just wasn’t “quite there yet for LFL” I interpret her as emotionally at the time being in a place where it’s sentiment (did for fun, for free, right reasons etc) didn’t ring true but that she hoped it would eventually- and that releasing it on COCC was because it finally felt true to her experience. She’s also mentioned writing her future as a way to summon things into being- maybe this is the case for the unreleased finally finding a home on BB: that some part of their sentiment finally feels like it’s come true which means they’re ready to be released.

The track is cute. Not just what I would call a proper duet.

I agree. I think that with most of the features, her artist friend play her a song of theirs, she sings along while listening, and they decide to record her right away because it sounds nicer with her. If there is more planned implication, there are chances that Lana ghosts them before it happens (Eat for free says hi )
I just wish they wouldn't"t have the feature in the name of the song as a clic bait.

If she write the song with the partner, it definitely ends up as a proper duet (like she does with most of the duets for her albums). For exemple, in the case of Breaking Up Slowly, it wasn't intended for her album in the first place. She actually claimed the song because she loved it.

It sounds great ! I love Weyes Blood.
Tough I've listened to other songs from that same album produced by him and it sounds like the country I don't want from Lana

I don't think Arcadia would be a good album title. I prefer Blue Banisters A LOT.

If she's releasing it at 6pm UK time maybe she's premiering it on some station to terrorize a new BBC intern

    Thanks a lot
I personally love that title since I've heard the song (very symbolic and poetic)   and the new artwork fits so well (bye picsart selfie).

Do you guys think the cover was shot on the balcony we see behind her on the hilton hotel from the Arcadia video ?

Great news. Did the insider tell if the album is going to be called Blu Banisters, Arcadia, Rock Candy Sweet or whatever ? Any mention of the cover being the one with the banisters and the dogs ?

I was always an unusual song, my mother told me that I had a chameleon sound. No moral compass pointing me due north, no fixed track list. Just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide as wavering as the ocean. And if I said that I didn't plan for it to turn out this way I’d be lying- because I was born to be the other song.

My guess for this album is that it’s always been « let’s revisit the past », and going back to a lot of older material, something between new compositions, unleaked songs, unfinished demos and leaked songs. Maybe this is why she thought she would be done by June 1: she didn’t have a lot of new compositions. But it’s her and she’s changed her idea (not that I am complaining at all: I’m glad we’re getting more unheard songs; if she wants to go down the unreleased collection with leaked songs, don’t go half ass like RCS seemed to be at first).
As for the singer songwriter vibes she entered with Norman, she’s always been a great lyricist and songwriter, but the production was bigger, and the whole «folky- singer-songwriter »vibe is usually more minimalist, like she began exploring on Norman, and in the US, is often associated with the Laurel Canyon movement of the 60s, which she channeled a lot with both Norman and Chemtrails. I don’t know if it always was the « goal » to her career or if it’s something she found herself down that path unintentionally, but her latest songs often are closer to that early career vibes of singing in bars, IMO. She’s always been very personal with her songs, no matter what the aesthetics, and there are songs in her latest records that could have been on BB (Change, hope, God Knows I Tried, love song, Heroin) because they fit that vibe.
