I have to say, regardless of her being wildly successful, I'm pleasantly surprised that she truly doesn't care for likes/attention/popularity in the end. People live for and die over that shit, and even more so as they become bigger/more recognized.

    A HUMBLE QUEEN.

I’m not too worried because she often goes months without really saying anything significant apart from the odd birthday message and random insta photo. I’m guessing she just hates the criticism side of things when albums get released and it affects her well-being and creative process. So it’s probably better for her to get away from it all while the album drops.

I just think it’s hilarious that the roll out for this new album has been so good, especially compared to Chemtrails and now she’s all “here’s my old passport photo, oh and i’m leaving public view now, enjoymynewalbumbye”.

    She never fails to surprise

Did she just say neeko as in neko? Japanese for cat?
Omg this is the strangest thing ever. She should actually make a youtube channel for videos like this. It would bring back a lot of her creativity.

i love this so much, something about it made me feel a little somber, but she's just so real and open, yet so disjointed in the perfect way. she looked absolutely gorgeous, when she put the soapy loofah over her cat's face it made me a little anxious. lol.

Gorgeous video, love the aesthetic, love the hair. Oh, to have her life and be her

Also, the diary part 'I have so many diaries, if they were ever found, all of my boyfriends would absolutely be in prison.'  hmmm

To accompany her September 2020 Interview cover, and in anticipation of her seventh studio album “Chemtrails Over the Country Club,” Charlie Grant shoots an intimate home video of his six-time Grammy-nominated pop star sister Lana Del Rey.

You thought I was rich, and I am, but not how you think. Fuck, think.
I live in a Tudor house in Mar Vista below the freeway, three miles from the beach.
    Fucking asshole.
Or at least, we used to before you fucking left! *giggle* Anyway. *sigh*

Why can’t it just be magic all the time? I think it definitely can be. I think if you surround yourself with the right people, everything’s magic. But, I also believe boundaries create miracles, so stay away from the beauty stealers.

Do you think Americans have good taste?
I think they absolutely did have good taste, and.. I mean, I’m on the cover of Interview, so… *giggle*

Alright. Do you keep a diary?
I have so many diaries. If they were ever found, all of my boyfriends would absolutely be in prison. Yes, many diaries, journaling all day.

    When do you get nervous?
Me?  Oh, I’m never nervous, no. No. Yeah, no, fully confident. *giggle*

Crazy? Me? No. I mean, look at, we're at a magazine shoot, swear it’s ridiculous. Is this the right light?
I mean, I would absolutely describe myself as normal. Yeah. Yeah, by any means. I would say, if I had to describe myself in three words, I would say normal, playful, and… ah… curious! So, nothing in common with these people. I mean it’s really, it’s really sad honestly. It’s not like I’ve been in a facility for 90 days already. Ridiculous. Not my story.
Can you still see the diamonds? *giggle*

    Showers or baths?
Baths. Definitely baths. But, with my cats.

It’s different being extraordinary, it’s hard to be eclectic, Niko! But, if your mother gets used to it, so must you, my only children. That’s right. Nikki, no, don’t be a difficult child!
    *cat meows*
    *giggle*
*kiss* I love you so much.

I regret ever being scared. If I could go back, I would tell myself there’s nothing to be afraid of and absolutely nothing happens by accident in God’s world, I guess.

They say that madness swings to genius. Mel? Doesn’t it?
"Oh yeah. Without the highs, you can’t have the lows."

This might be the poem that touched me the most on a first read. Really straight to the point, autobiographical, and I could just feel it.

It's not music but still, it's amazing. I remember how Lana gave an interview about the pilot who told her "you don't trust yourself", and now that story is on "Sportcruiser", it sounds familiar a quite beautiful.

She's not a pop artist, she's art. There are a lot of iconic quotes, and the closers are so polished and the music is out of this world.

Jack and Lana are THE COUPLE. Can't wait for COCC :')

July 28th, 2020: Lana Del Rey's spoken word poetry album / audiobook 'Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass' has been released worldwide.
The audiobook contains 14 out of 30 of the upcoming hardcover book's poems with music accompanied by Jack Antonoff, the producer of Lana's previous album 'Norman Fucking Rockwell'

“'Violet Bent Backwards over the Grass' is the title poem of the book and the first poem I wrote of many. Some of which came to me in their entirety, which I dictated and then typed out, and some that I worked laboriously picking apart each word to make the perfect poem. They are eclectic and honest and not trying to be anything other than what they are and for that reason I’m proud of them, especially because the spirit in which they were written was very authentic.” (Lana Del Rey)
